Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia concluded with chapter #430 of the manga, released on August 5, 2024. The final chapter explored the aftermath of the climactic war, offering a glimpse into how everyone, especially Class 1-A, was moving forward. While the class members were shown continuing their work as heroes, their individual progress remained somewhat unclear. To address this, the series' final volume includes an additional chapter that delves deeper into their lives, including revealing the new Hero Billboard Chart rankings for Class 1-A members.
This chapter reveals that sixteen Class 1-A members have secured official rankings on Japan's Hero Billboard Chart. While Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo dominate the top spots, Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, does not have a ranking as he lost his quirk during the final battle against All for One. Other characters, such as Koji Koda (Anima), Rikido Sato (Sugar Man), and Yuga Aoyama (Can’t Stop Twinkling), work as sidekicks, while Hitoshi Shinsou (NightHide) is absent from the rankings. Below is the ranking of the sixteen members, listed from lowest to highest.
16 Minoru Mineta
Ranked #108
Minoru Mineta, a character many fans believed would never secure a ranking, surprisingly achieved the position of #108 on the Hero Billboard Chart of Japan (HBJ). The epilogue of My Hero Academia reveals that this is Mineta's first time making the list, as he only recently earned his rank.
Given Mineta’s unexpected success, it’s plausible that Grape Juice could continue climbing the rankings. While it’s hard to imagine him ever breaking into the top ten, reaching the top fifty doesn’t seem out of reach, especially with humor now being considered as part of the metrics for measuring a hero’s rank.
15 Denki Kaminari
Ranked #44
At Number #44 on the HBJ is Denki Kaminari, aka the Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt. Chapter #431 of My Hero Academia reveals that Kaminari has established his own agency, located in a building adjacent to Kyoka Jiro's.
While fans were hoping the epilogue would confirm Kaminari and Jiro's relationship status, it instead hints at the possibility, particularly as their dynamic seems evident to their classmates. It’s refreshing to see My Hero Academia embracing such close relationships, especially in a genre where they are often left unexplored.
14 Toru Hagakure
Ranked #39
Toru Hagakure, aka the Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl, secures the #39 spot on the HBJ chart. The epilogue of My Hero Academia also reveals that she has opened her own agency, where her former classmate Yuga Aoyama now works as a sidekick.
Aoyama working at Invisible Girl’s agency might once again hint at the bond between the two, something Kohei Horikoshi has highlighted throughout the series. It’s already been shown many times in the series that the quirks of the two work really well together, so it makes sense that they would partner up.
13 Hanta Sero
Ranked #36
Often referred to as the Spider-Man of My Hero Academia, Hanta Sero, aka the Taping Hero: Cellophane, holds the #36 spot on the HBJ chart. While the epilogue doesn’t reveal much about him beyond this, it’s likely that he has opened an agency, similar to many of his classmates.
Sero’s impressive ranking is likely a testament to his hero work, especially his ability to apprehend enemies from a distance using his Quirk. With the number of villains dwindling every day, it’s possible that Sero’s ranking could climb even higher as he continues to capture those remaining, often petty criminals on the run, making a name for himself.
12 Tsuyu Asui
Ranked #34
Tsuyu Asui, the Rainy Season Hero: Froppy, ranks #34 on HBJ. While the epilogue doesn’t confirm if she has her own agency, it appears Froppy is working alongside Uravity at her agency.

My Hero Academia's creator has shared an emotive message with fans in volume #42 of the manga, putting a definitive end to the series.
Froppy's popularity in the rankings may stem from her likability, especially among children. With Uravity's agency focused on helping children improve, Froppy likely gained recognition and admiration through her contributions there.
11 Mashirao Ojiro
Ranked #32
Mashirao Ojiro, the Martial Arts Hero: Tailman, ranks just two spots above Froppy at #32 on HBJ. While it’s unclear if he has his own hero agency, his ranking likely reflects the appeal of his martial arts skills, which may have captivated fans.
It’s easy to imagine Tailman running a martial arts school to teach children or his admirers. With Ojiro embodying a traditional art of Japan, his ranking could continue to rise, contributing to a resurgence of interest in martial arts.
10 Kyoka Jiro
Ranked #30
The Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack, Kyoka Jiro, holds the #30 spot on HBJ. The final chapter confirms that Jiro has her own hero agency, though it’s unclear if her agency specializes in a particular area.
While fans were eager for confirmation of Jiro and Kaminari's relationship status, it remains only hinted at. However, it seems likely that their bond will eventually develop in line with fan expectations.
9 Mina Ashido
Ranked #28
Ranking just two spots above her former classmate Jiro, Mina Ashido, the Ridley Hero: Pinky, secures the #28 spot on HBJ. This impressive rank highlights the success of Ashido's solo career, much like many of her classmates.
Known for her inspirational personality, it’s clear she carries that same energy into her career as a professional hero. Unfortunately, it remains unconfirmed whether she has her own agency, and her relationship status is likewise shrouded in mystery, much like most of her peers.
8 Ochaco Uraraka
Ranked #24
Placing in the top #25 on HBJ, Ochaco Uraraka, the Zero Gravity Hero: Uravity, holds the #24 spot. Her high rank is undoubtedly a result of her remarkable work through her agency.
Uraraka runs an agency dedicated to teaching children how to control their quirks, a mission clearly inspired by her encounter with Himiko Toga. She is determined to prevent other children from meeting a similar fate. Additionally, the finale confirmed that Uraraka and Deku are finally beginning a romantic relationship after all these years.
7 Momo Yaoyorozu
Ranked #19
Momo Yaoyorozu, the Everything Hero: Creati, secures a spot in the top #20 on HBJ, ranking at #19. While the series finale doesn’t confirm whether she has her own agency, it is clear she is thriving in her career.
It’s easy to imagine that Momo might have her own agency, possibly focusing on educating children or using her quirk to create innovations that benefit society. Her success was evident from the start, so it’s no surprise that she ranks among the top heroes and holds the highest rank among the girls in her class.
6 Fumikage Tokoyami
Ranked #17
Fumikage Tokoyami, the Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi, holds the #17 spot on the HBJ chart. With such a high rank, it’s possible that Tsukuyomi has his own agency or is continuing the legacy of Hawks' agency, as no one seems better suited to succeed him.
Tokoyami has consistently proven to be one of the series' most powerful characters, making him a likely choice among heroes to call upon in dire situations. Embodying darkness, Tsukuyomi may have a dedicated following of his own, which could explain his impressive ranking.
5 Katsuki Bakugo
Ranked #15
The fan favorite, Katsuki Bakugo, aka Kacchan, or by his hero name, Explosive Hero: Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, currently ranks #15 on the HBJ chart. Although Bakugo initially debuted at #4, his rank dropped to #15, largely due to his unlikability among fans—a trait hilariously fitting to his fiery personality.

The finale confirms that Kacchan has his own agency, where he extends an invitation to Deku to join, only to be declined. While it’s evident that Kacchan has the potential to climb back up the rankings, his infamous temper could just as easily cause his rank to slip further. Nevertheless, he remains a standout character, continuing to thrive in his career, even getting All Might's signature on his card.
4 Tenya Ida
Ranked #13
Tenya Ida, the Turbo Hero: Ingenium, holds a rank slightly higher than Bakugo, coming in at #13 on the HBJ chart. He is one of the characters emphasized as doing exceptionally well.
While it remains unclear whether Ida has his own agency or operates solo, his high ranking is undoubtedly due to his incredible speed, allowing him to arrive at crime scenes faster than others. Combining his swift crime-fighting abilities with his likable personality, Ingenium is poised to climb even higher in the rankings.
3 Eijiro Kirishima
Ranked #11
Just a few ranks shy of breaking into the top #10, Eijiro Kirishima, the Sturdy Hero: Red Riot, currently holds the #12 spot on the HBJ chart. In the latest chapter, Kirishima reveals that he has only recently embarked on his solo hero career.
Previously, Kirishima worked at Fatgum's agency, whose own rank is just slightly higher than Red Riot's. Known for embodying the ideals of chivalry, Kirishima likely gained followers who shared his belief in this noble code. With his solo career just beginning, Red Riot seems well-positioned to climb even higher in the rankings.
2 Mezo Shoji
Ranked #9
Mezo Shoji, aka Tentacle Hero: Tentacole, ranks #9 on the HBJ chart, making him one of three Class 1-A members to break into the top 10. Shoji played a pivotal role in the series' final war, challenging and countering societal racism.

1 Shoto Todoroki
Ranked #2
Shoto Todoroki, aka AirCon Hero: Shoto, has climbed to rank #2 on the HBJ chart, just behind Mirio Togata. The latest chapter reveals that Class 1-A members gathered to celebrate Shoto's achievement, suggesting his recent rise to this position.
Additionally, the chapter highlights Todoroki's personal feelings about being a hero. While he acknowledges it as a duty, Shoto also enjoys eating and announces his plan to take pottery classes so he can eat from containers he makes himself.
