Molly-Mae Hague reveals daughter Bambi has now started prep school after clashing with Tommy Fury over Traveller traditions around education

Molly-Mae Hague has revealed daughter Bambi has now started prep school after clashing with her fiancé Tommy Fury over Traveller traditions around education. 

Tommy, 27, who was brought up in a traditional Traveller fashion, had previously expressed a desire for Bambi to not go to school, with Molly-Mae telling him at the time that their daughter would receive a full education. 

In her latest YouTube vlog, Molly-Mae, 27, revealed Bambi, three, has now started prep school in her nursery, ahead of her starting school next September. 

Molly-Mae said: 'She had her first day back to prep school yesterday, back to nursery, but now it's prep school because she's moved up a room and they call it prep school. 

'Basically all her friends are wearing a uniform. And obviously I said like it's optional.'

Bambi told Molly she didn't want to wear a uniform. 

She continued: 'Tommy was like, "Oh, like why is everyone wearing a uniform? It just feels too grown up. Like she's a baby." And I was like, "She's not a baby."

'I've never known a man to - love him for it - but baby a child more than Bam. Tommy babies Bambi. Like, which is what you should do because they are only a baby for a short amount of time. I guess you have to embrace it.' 

The couple welcomed their son Midas in January.  

Back in March, Molly Mae said they were 'on the fence' about sending their daughter to school because they don't want her to 'lose herself'. 

She said she does want her daughter to go to a Catholic school if she thrives there, but admitted she hasn't ruled out home-schooling her first-born because she doesn't want her to 'lose her spark'. 

She said the thought of handing over her child for five days a week to a system is 'terrifying' because she and Tommy are so protective over her and they are strict in a way that they are comfortable with.  

Molly-Mae said: 'We went to go and visit a school for Bambi. I feel as though it could be quite a controversial one. You know me, I can sneeze and people will find it controversial. 

'I'm not really going to go into depth about it but we were very much feeling on the fence with schooling and what we were going to do and where we are at with it.

'I was in the normal school system, I didn't go to private school. We're just very stuck about what we are going to do.'

Molly-Mae said that Tommy's religion is affecting their decision but denied her views were anything to do with him being 'half-Traveller'.

However, two years ago, Tommy had mooted the idea of Bambi not going to school because of his Traveller background. 

 Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller children often leave after primary school to learn 'traditional' skills. These skills include bricklaying and tree-cutting for young boys, while girls will be taught homemaking by their mothers.

It proved to be a sticking point for the couple, as Molly Mae insisted there was 'no way' her daughter would not receive a full education.

Tommy said on At Home With The Furys: 'Growing up the way I've grown up, I've got my morals and live my life a certain way.

'I feel like when our little girl comes along, she'll most definitely be brought up the way I've been brought up. The old fashioned way. The right way.'

He was seen telling Molly: 'I want our daughter to be around other children and be very family orientated. I feel like family is number one and it's important that she knows that.'

Molly then revealed to the camera: 'With Tommy obviously being Traveller, he has had conversations with me about our child not going to school, which is absolutely non optional.

'I've been raised completely differently to that. It would never be a question that our children or our child would not go to school.

'That hopefully won't cause too many rifts.'
