Meet Wintah: The MAFS 2027 groom tipped to become Australia's 'most hated man' amid claims he's been messaging other brides

Move over, Tyson Gordon. There's a new groom heading for Married At First Sight - and insiders reckon he'll make you look like a Disney princess.

His name is Wintah Cunnington. And apparently, a cold front is coming.

Daily Mail can reveal the Byron Bay father-of-two, 29, is shaping up to be one of the most divisive personalities on Nine's 2027 season, where he is paired with Perth cosmetic injector Kodie Wyatt.

He is religious, celibate and, according to insiders, unwilling to compromise. He also appears to have missed a fairly crucial detail about the television show he signed up for.

The marriage isn't legally binding - and he wanted out.

Yes, a groom on Married At First Sight is apparently furious to discover he isn't actually married at first sight.

But that is only the beginning.

While insiders insist Wintah entered the experiment looking for a wife, he has reportedly been messaging multiple other brides behind their partners' backs - raising questions about what, exactly, he hoped to find in their inboxes.

It is a striking complication for a groom whose intentions have been described to me in rather uncompromising terms.

'He isn't there for sex, clout, followers,' one insider tells me. 'If he has a disagreement or doesn't align he's happy to leave the situation.'

He just wants to walk away with a bride, the source says.

Whose bride could become the more pressing question - if claims of romantic messages are borne out.

'Wintah will definitely be the talk of MAFS next year,' another insider says.

And he will have competition.

Sources say the 2027 season will feature cheating scandals, mass walkouts, celebrity cameos, same-sex couples and an Eliot Donovan-style redemption story, alongside dinner parties that will give the experts plenty to unpack.

But amid all that, Wintah is already emerging as a name to remember.

He came looking for a marriage certificate. He may leave with a very different reputation.

Nothing vanilla about these intruders 

But Wintah isn't the only one giving producers a reason to reach for the headache tablets. 

Incoming intruder groom Zac Nunns and his influencer and TikTok bride, Vanilla Milla, are set to ruffle their feathers.

Their arrival is shaping up to be a major flashpoint, with questions being raised within the cast about Zac and Milla's past and why they were chosen for the experiment.

According to insiders, Zac's new bride is facing claims about a 'racy' past, along with accusations she was cast to stir up drama. 

Those are claims being levelled at her, rather than an established explanation for her casting.

'Some of the cast had already made up their minds about why she was there. They thought her arrival was designed to provoke a reaction, and that became part of the argument.' 

But amid all the attention on his new bride, I'm told Zac has a connection of his own that is set to become a dinner party talking point.

And it involves another bride.

Love Island bad boy Zac previously had a relationship with another bride - a detail that puts his arrival in a rather different light, Daily Mail can reveal.

It also raises the question: did producers know about that connection when they offered him a place in the experiment?

'His connection with another bride becomes a topic at the dinner party. Once it comes up, there are questions about their history and who knew about it,' the source said.

With that history set to come up at a dinner party, there will be more for the group to discuss than whether the new couples make a good match.

Exactly how the connection comes to light, and how Zac's new bride reacts, are details to watch.

For now, sources say the friction surrounding the intruders has already spilled over into filming, with one couple digging in after the confrontation.

'They were unhappy with how things had played out and wanted to speak to production before filming anything further,' the source added.

Among the new intruders joining the 2027 series is Scottish bride Nicole Monaghan, who has been paired with topless waiter and tradie Kol Regev.

Perth-based recruitment consultant Nicole is all about balance and lifestyle.

She is also a lover of health, beauty, and fashion, she's often found exploring local cafes, staying active, and soaking up the sunshine along the coast.

Meanwhile, insiders tell Daily Mail that Kol will set tongues wagging thanks to his controversial views.

Now, don't get me wrong. It's not all walkouts and wandering eyes.

I'm being told that the 2027 season will feature 'plenty of love', with some couples already making plans to relocate interstate to be together.

Turns out a few of them really did sign up for a marriage...
