Kelly Stafford Addresses Family's Health Battle After Kids' Hospitalization

Kelly Stafford's kids have reached the endzone of a scary health battle.

After her and husband Matthew Stafford's 7-year-old twins Chandler and Sawyer were hospitalized from coming down with the flu, the Morning After with Kelly Stafford podcast host shared an update on their recovery.

"They are good now," Kelly exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker. "They are thriving. They are back in gymnastics, happy as can be."

In fact, she and her family have plans to watch the 2025 Super Bowl all together, and Kelly said their Big Game celebration will be complete with Farm Rich snacks and appetizers.

"I do not like having to make two different types of meals, one for the adults and one for the kids," Kelly explained. "Farm rich, completely, just does all of it."

But the 35-year-old—who also shares daughters Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4, with the Los Angeles Rams quarterback—noted that she still has some "mom guilt" from the flu experience. After all, in addition to monitoring her little ones, she was juggling preparations for Matthew's NFL playoff game and trying to keep her family safe amid the Los Angeles wildfires

"The flu is the flu, but it had turned into more than that," Kelly shared. "There were other infections occurring that I was unaware of."

"I had no idea one of my twins lost nine pounds, which is, as you know, for a little girl, a lot," she continued. "And it just got too far."

Ultimately, Kelly—who, along with Hunter and Tyler, also came down with the flu at the time—learned an important lesson from their health journey. As she put it, "If your kid has the flu, just make sure you stay on top of it."

Kelly added, "Hopefully, we won't have to deal with it again."

And luckily, she had a lot of support from Matthew—even when he was supposed to be focused on the football field.

"My husband, to be honest, was trying to work," Kelly shared, "but also, like, up and waiting for us to get home from the hospital and terrified for the kids."

Of course, Kelly wasn't at all surprised by his attentiveness to their situation.

"Obviously, he's a dad and that's probably his favorite job," she said, "so he was in the mix—or at least trying to be."
