Chrissie Swan has shared a remarkable sobriety milestone, admitting her decision to put down the bottle was the best she's ever made.

The Nova radio host took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that it has now been four years since she last imbibed.

She shared a short clip that featured what appeared to be a clip art image of a sobriety chip featuring the phrase: '4 years sober time.'

Captioning the celebratory post, Chrissy admitted that she does not miss indulging in alcohol.

'Four years no booze today,' Chrissy wrote.

'One thing I have learned is this: there is not a single thing that alcohol makes better.'

Chrissie continued, giving herself a pat on the back for staying true to her decision for so long.

'It is still the best decision I have ever made (and followed through) for myself,' Chrissie added, augmenting the sentiment with a smiling face with hugging hands emoji.

Chrissie's post comes as she has been filling in for colleague Kate Ritchie alongside co-hosts Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald  and Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli this week as well as hosting her eponymous afternoon show.

Taking to Instagram back in 2023, Chrissie shared her impressive 1000 day sobriety milestone, while offering advice to others thinking about putting down the bottle.

'I don't talk much about giving up the booze because it's such a personal thing and not right for everyone,' Chrissie began her post.

She added: 'But on my 1000 day anniversary I know for sure it has been the right thing for me.'

'So I'm putting this here for anyone who's thinking that maybe drinking isn't fun for them anymore,' the radio host continued.

'I love being able to drive everywhere, leave places whenever I like, and especially going to bed knowing I've been the most authentic version of myself.'

Chrissie went on to say that while she 'didn't have a massive, long standing problem' with drinking alcohol, she felt it was right to give up the substance after COVID.

'It was actually quite easy for me and the positives started within the first week. Mainly - relief,' she said.

'And the clarity and focus I needed to return to my original self and get to work, as Holly Whitaker wrote, 'Building a life I didn't want to escape from.'

'I don't miss drinking one bit and now I never even think about it.'

Chrissie went on to encourage her followers to give up drinking if they decide they 'can't stand the hangovers' or are tired of embarrassing themselves while drunk.

The Nova radio star revealed in 2021 that she quit drinking alcohol following Melbourne's harsh 112-day lockdown in 2020.

Chrissy has also lost a reported 90kg in three years and has cited her daily 10km walks, a new diet and sobriety as the secret behind her slimdown.

She has never spoken about whether she takes semaglutide medication like Ozempic or has undergone any surgical procedure to assist her with losing the kilos.

The Masked Singer judge did briefly touch on her weight loss in an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly in 2022, confirming that Melbourne's lengthy Covid lockdowns were the catalyst for her health and fitness kick.

'We couldn't go out to dinner, we couldn't go to a friend's house, they couldn't come to us, we couldn't go outside five kilometres,' she said

'All we could do was walk, and so that's what I did.'

She said the 'enormous' lifestyle changes she'd made over the previous 12 months had improved her life in so many ways.

'I'm not going to talk about the size of my a**e,' she said, adding: 'I'm not going to tell you what I eat in a day. Because I've read those stories and they make me feel bad about myself.'
