Matt Bomer’s Son Walker, Billie Lourd’s Sister Ava Attend Prom Together
Ava Bozzi and Walker Halls’ prom was a family affair.
The 18-year-olds attended their high school prom together over the weekend, with their parents—Bruce Bozzi and Bryan Lourd, as well as Matt Bomer and Simon Halls, respectively—by their side to celebrate the occasion.
Bruce shared a photo of the group posing together on April 19, revealing that the pic was snapped by Ava’s “proud sister” Billie Lourd, Bryan’s daughter with late ex Carrie Fisher.
In the pic, Matt, 48, and Simon, 62, stood beside Walker, who wore a traditional black tux and a white boutonniere, with their arm around their son.
On the other side of Walker was Ava, who wore a beige strapless gown bedazzled with diamond studs and a black ribbon sash at the waistline. She stood next to Bruce and Bryan, as they all smiled for the camera.
“Prom Power!” Bruce captioned the Instagram shot. “Proud Parents!”
Bruce also included the Pride flag emoji in his caption, as well as the hashtags, “#marriageequality #surrogacy #ivf.”
The sweet moment resulted in lots of support in the comments section, with Billie, 33, writing, “Our lil gal is all grown up I could weeeeeeep.”
Matt commented five red heart emojis, while Andy Cohen—who is friends with Bruce—added, “Couldn’t love this pic more.”

It was indeed a blissful, blended family moment. After all, Bryan, 65, dated Carrie for three years in the early 90s, during which they welcomed Billie, before ending their relationship upon the talent agent’s realization he was gay. Around 2006, Bryan and Bruce started dating and the two married in 2016, with Bryan later legally adopting Ava as his daughter.
And even though Ava and Billie have a 15-year age gap, the sisters couldn’t be closer. In fact, Billie praised Ava and the impact she’s had on her life in a heartfelt birthday tribute in November.
“My magical lil sis is not so lil anymore?! She’s 18?!!!! What is time?!!” Billie wrote in the post, featuring pics of them through the years. “The day I met her was one of the greatest days of my life. I always dreamed of having a sister and she is dreamier than any dream I could have ever had. She is the funniest, kindest, hottest, most grounded soul of a human and I am so proud / emotional af / greater than grateful to get to call her my sister.”

As for Matt and Simon, they met when the Magic Mike actor hired Simon to be his publicist and ultimately tied the knot in 2011. The couple also share sons Kit, 21, and Henry, 18, who is Walker’s twin brother.
Matt has previously spoken about how much he loves parenthood, noting that his three kids are what bring him the most joy these days.
“I feel really lucky that I can say it’s our kids because they’re all teenagers now and I can still say that it’s them,” the White Collar alum told Forbes in 2023. “I think it’s a joy to hear about their lives and what’s going on with them and be a part of a family. I think that’s an amazing, miraculous thing and I love our boys very much.”
