James is a gaming writer from London who has spent thousands of hours exploring titles from every genre. Though he has a particular affinity for multiplayer titles like World of Warcraft, Destiny 2 and League of Legends, he has also put thousands of hours into single-player experiences, from deep RPGs to epic PC strategies. When he's not playing or writing, he can usually be found supporting his beloved Brentford FC.
Marvel has thousands of characters across its entire roster of heroes and villains, and everyone understandably has their favorites. That said, there are some objective ways to measure them that help us organize them into different categories, even if doing so creates a bunch of debate among those fighting for their own picks.
Characters like Molecule Man and The Beyonder always show up in conversations about power, while certain versions of The Hulk and Thor always appear in debates about the physically strongest characters in the lore. That said, when it comes to which character is the most savage, it really is a toss up between just a few, and for many, Carnage is right at the top of the list.
The blood-red symbiote is an absolute brute, and any time the character shows up, destruction is sure to follow. Now, it's about to happen again, and he could be more devastating than ever before.
MarvelOver on the official PlayStation website, you can find confirmation of the latest additions to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, with Magneto, Green Goblin, and the aforementioned Carnage stepping into the fray. As you'd expect, that means casting someone in the role who can really carry off the character, and the developers have gone with Kellen Goff.
Goff is perhaps most well-known for his work on Five Nights at Freddy's, My Hero Academia, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, as well as League of Legends and Valorant. It's already proving to be a popular choice over on Reddit, where fans have been reacting to the casting, and the character's arrival in the game more generally.
"Seeing Steve Blum back as goblin is a treat but I was not expecting Kellen Goff as carnage and he sounds so good," one comment read.
While another added, "Kellen Goff is such a perfect casting to voice Carnage in hindsight, he's killing it(ha). Wonder if he'll also be voicing him in Rivals to synergize with this."
"I'm glad they got the Rivals VA for Magneto. Kellen Goff's take on carnage is very good too - reminds me of Dee Bradley Baker's screechy version of them from the early spider-man games," a third said.
The Knights of Doom are being added to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls in time for full launch on August 6, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and PC. There's no word yet on whether the game will ever come to Xbox, but given how closely the title is tied to Sony, it's probably best not to get your hopes up too much.
