BioShock fans have been waiting rather patiently for news of any upcoming sequels or even the series' spiritual successor. Sadly, their patience doesn't appear to have gotten them very far, as any BioShock-related projects have, at least until recently, been shrouded in an air of mystery. All that fans are left with is the occasional leak and assurance that something, at some point, will be done with the IP.

Fortunately, there has been a development on one such project that has fans finally uniting as one to get excited once again. While not quite as exciting as a full-blown BioShock 4 reveal, this update does give hope that something is coming in the near future. Naturally, that has fans slowly, and rather cautiously, building up hype again, especially as it could mean that a new game is coming sooner than most probably think.

On Reddit, an eagle-eyed fan posted about a job listing for a community manager at Ghost Story Games. For those not in the know, Ghost Story Games is the studio formed by BioShock creator Ken Levine in the wake of Irrational Games' closure. It is also the same studio developing the BioShock-esque upcoming first-person shooter, Judas, on which Levine is the creative director. It is famously a game that we know very little about, even with the sliver of information shared about Judas during recent gaming showcases. So, any news is absolutely good news.

However, hiring a community manager is typically an indication that the game is not only in full swing, but that some form of marketing, or at least communication between the developer and fans, will begin shortly. Of course, it isn't direct confirmation of anything, but a lot of what the job listing is asking for absolutely revolves around marketing a game, getting information out to influencers, and communicating with the fans. Well, it seems like commenters on that aforementioned Reddit post would agree, as they're all rallying around to celebrate this potentially momentous step in Judas' journey.

User VoicelessTom rather enthusiastically stated that "this is great to see. Judas is easily my most anticipated game right now," while Redditor MaxProwes joked, "best ever game is coming... someday." There is also discussion of just how Levine has managed to continue making one of the most ambitious Take-Two games ever made, second perhaps only to GTA 6, over the past 12 years without seemingly any issues or concerns from said parent company.

User Meitantei_Serinox guesses that it may have something to do with Ghost Story Games "being such a small studio," while user Impossible-Flight250 points out that, should Levine actually release the game, "it may spawn a whole franchise," and Take-Two is banking on that inevitability. Regardless, it is great that there has been at least a hint of a murmuring from Ghost Story Games, even if some fans remain skeptical it'll ever come out. However, should Judas launch, and it is anywhere near as good as BioShock, then fans are absolutely in for a generational treat.
