Line Of Duty star Craig Parkinson has revealed he secretly married fiancée Katie Popperwell this summer.
The actor, 50, who starred as DI Matthew 'Dot' Cottan in the BBC police drama, announced his special news on Instagram on Saturday.
The couple, who got engaged in 2024 after Katie proposed to him, tied the knot at Old Marylebone Town Hall in front of their closest friends and family.
While Craig described the wedding as the 'most magical day of our lives', they were faced with a number of setbacks.
He revealed his phone got stolen at Paddington station the night before and they nearly cancelled the ceremony after they couldn't find anywhere for lunch.
Sharing a photo with his bride as they walked down the steps, Craig wrote: 'Posting this from the beach in Sicily so excuse any sand in the cracks but it is time to share our happy news.
'Back in July Katie and I were married at Old Marylebone Town Hall with our family and a few close friends. We originally wanted to do something bigger but mid-life is complicated, right?

'It really was a perfect day. From the fact that we had a chic registrar from Leeds, to my dear friend @kennydoughty taking care of my shattered nerves after my phone was nicked at Paddington the night before.
'We were lucky to have our brilliant director friend @kieronhawkes moonlighting as wedding photographer and our beloved @edenkeane as Maid of Honour going above and beyond on styling and psychological support.
'She and my best man Neil did get a touch competitive when it came to the speeches - BOTH of which were barnstormers.
'We almost had to cancel the whole thing when we couldn’t find anywhere for lunch but @clipstonerestaurant emerged from the mist like a mystical wedding oasis with the most incredible sharing menu and the warmest hospitality.
'It’s hard not to fall into cliche when talking about this but it really WAS the most magical day of our lives. Thank you to all of our family and friends that made the day so full of love.
'We’re both keeping our surnames but we don’t mind if you want to call us The Poppinsons'.

Craig, meanwhile, became a fan favourite in Line Of Duty.
His character Dot was a corrupt copper working for anti-corruption unit AC-12 and was killed off in series three after being dramatically exposed as 'The Caddy'.
Line Of Duty will return to the BBC for series seven next year.
