LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight begins early access today for anyone who purchased the Deluxe Edition of the game. While you'll need to play through the main story or visit Bat-mite's shop to unlock most suits, you can actually get a few extra ones for free as soon as you boot up the game.

This is mostly done by linking accounts and/or redeeming codes. For example, by linking your WB account when you're first starting out. You'll also notice on the starting menu that HBO Max subscribers can actually get some bonus Batsuits in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight by linking their accounts. Over on X, a number of folks were already getting excited about the new suits, but there was some confusion about how to do that. We've got you covered here.

HBO Max Batsuits for LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight

Getting the free HBO Max Batsuits (pictured above) is pretty simple. You can click on the announcement in the lower left-hand corner of the starting menu. This will cause a QR code to appear, which you'll need to scan. From there, you can sign in to your HBO Max account with the code provided under the QR code. Linking accounts will cause your items to appear in-game a few short moments later.

If you're redeeming these right out the gate, you'll have to play through the main story a bit before you see Bruce in a Batsuit at all and can change his appearance. The good news is that it doesn't take too long to get there. Depending on how much you want to collect and explore, you should be able to get to Batsuits within the first hour.

You'll also be able to get bonus freebies by redeeming codes to get them. This is for things like the gold Batmobiles, which you can acquire through select LEGO sets in real life. To do this, you can select "Redeem Code" in the starting menu. You'll be taken to a screen like the one pictured above, where you'll then enter the code and can begin downloading your free item.

Legacy of the Dark Knight is an amazing game, and you'll unlock plenty of vehicles and suits for the playable characters simply by playing. However, if you'd like to get some bonus free cosmetics, then you can totally do that. The ones for linking WB and HBO Max accounts are pretty nice, and easy to get, so if you've got a subscription, be sure to link accounts for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
