They went on to tell The Sun: 'He didn't want to give up on them and has done everything he can to get them back on track.'
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Laura Anderson for comment.
It was first reported in March that Laura and Clark, who plays as centre-back for Brunei DPMM FC in the Singapore Premier League, had parted ways.
A source said at the time: 'Laura and Clark have called time on their relationship. It was a difficult decision, they both have a lot of love for each other but realised it wasn't working.'
Back in December, Laura spoke about blended families at Christmastime and said her romance with Clark was going well.
Speaking to The Sun, she admitted: 'Christmas time...Can be an emotional, tricky time. I think blended families sort of bring hardship.'
'It's not really something that I expected or had ever dealt with before. You have a child and then you meet someone and then they have kids...And actually, it's not always plain sailing.'
Laura went on to say her relationship with Clark is going from strength to strength as they couldn't be happier.

'But we're really strong and we're doing better than ever really. So it'll be nice to have the kids together around Christmas time because they get on really well.'
She continued to gush about how her ex partner, who has two children from a previous relationship, saying she is grateful to be with such a supportive father.
Laura shares daughter Bonnie, three, with former Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy, and has since formed a close bond with his ex-wife Natasha and her four children.
Last month the television personality spoke about the holiday to Turkey she went on with Bonnie and Natasha and the family.
Natasha and Hollyoaks star Gary split in 2018 after 14 years of marriage and together share two sons and two daughters.
Meanwhile, Laura parted ways with Gary during her pregnancy with Bonnie in early 2023. They briefly tried to reconcile before Bonnie was born but parted ways permanently and have publicly spoken out against one another since.
Laura appeared on the CBeebies Parenting Download podcast, where she spoke about the joy of having a blended family.
Laura said: 'We went on a holiday recently me and the ex-wife. It was incredible to see my daughter with her half-siblings, because I don't really want her to be an only child. They got on so well and they're so alike.
'Everyone was saying "oh my god you're doing something amazing for the kids". We genuinely get on.
'I, as I said before, really have always just wanted to have a family and I've got Bonnie. But going on this holiday just almost gave me everything I wanted in a weird way. Even though, you know, it was two mums together and her four kids.
'It was almost like I wanted to see and feel Bonnie be loved and that made me feel loved.
'Love comes in all forms, I hope society is catching up with that.'
