Lake Bell goes Instagram-official with boyfriend Rashid Johnson in Halloween 'hard launch'

Lake Bell has confirmed her new romance with Rashid Johnson in a social media post.

On Saturday, the 47-year-old actress went Instagram-official with Johnson, 49, sharing a photo of them with the caption, 'Happy Hallow-hard launch.'

The twosome had previously stepped out together on October 29 at the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala Honoring Cynthia Erivo.

Before that, they had attended the WAW 25th Anniversary HER Gala on October 22.

In the Instagram post, Bell wore a beret and a fitted fur-trimmed jacket, while Johnson donned a dark suit, white shirt and bowtie.

The stars' celebrity friends showed support in the comments, with Erinn Hayes writing, 'And lookin fiiiiiiiine on the take off!! ❤️,' while Reed Morano shared three heart-eye emojis.

Bell was romantically linked to Chris Rock throughout 2022, but by 2023 he had revealed in a stand-up comedy set that he was single.

She also fueled romance rumors with Jason Sudeikis when they were spotted together at a Guns N' Roses concert in November 2023.

But a source also confirmed to the Daily Mail at the time that they were not a couple and 'just friends.'

Bell shares daughter Nova, 12, and son Ozgood, 11, with ex-husband Scott Campbell, to whom she was married for seven years.

They divorced in 2020 and are amicable co-parents.

'I think great respect and communication is what is the key to coparenting,' Bell told Us magazine in 2022.

She added, '[We can] never think, "Oh, we had that one conversation that was good, and therefore, now we’re good for the rest of our lives." It’s an evolution, you know?'

The entertainer emphasized, 'It’s a constant, it’s any rapport, but it’s, like, the most important rapport of my life. It’s for our children’s sake.'

While speaking with Parents.com in 2025, the Hollywood fixture explained protocol for introducing love interests to her daughter and son.

'Scott and I had parameters around it, and now we trust each other to decide when the time is right, but I generally don’t rush into it,' she noted.

'If I’m still hanging out with someone five or six months in and they’ve shown that they care about meeting them, then OK,' the mom of two said.

'It can also happen sooner if they have their own children, because if the kids despise each other, it can’t go any further. You can’t glue these kids together,' she added.

As for Johnson, he and his wife Sheree Hovsepian announced their split in May.

They are parents to one child, a teenage son named Julius.
