Despite being roasted for her acting abilities, Kim Kardashian is forging her ahead with her new career as a professional actress.
The reality star, 45, has landed a plum role as the leading lady in Netflix's upcoming comedy film, The Fifth Wheel.
The streaming giant released two images from the set of the all-female ensemble on Monday, with Kardashian pulling focus from her famous co-stars and director Eva Longoria.
In one image, the Skims founder flashes a peace sign and pouts her lips next to Nikki Glaser, 41, Brenda Song, 37, and Fortune Feimster, who are her co-stars in the film.
In another photo, a stern Longoria directs the cast to look at something off camera between takes.
Comments from fans were mixed, with one writing, 'Quickest way to make sure I don't watch something is casting a Kardashian.'
Kim Kardashian is returning to the small screen with a lead role in Netflix's upcoming comedy The Fifth Wheel
The comedy is directed by Eva Longoria and also stars Brenda Song, Fortune Feimster, and Nikki Glaser
Another commented, 'Y'all stay hating on kim but are 100% gonna watch anyway.'
A third wrote, 'Y’all gotta stop giving Kim acting gigs. If she’s got a cameo as herself, it’s one thing. But did anyone watch AHS: Delicate or All’s Fair?'
According to Netflix, Glaser, Song, and Feimster 'play longtime best friends whose lives are upended when Kardashian’s character enters the mix'.
The Fifth Wheel also stars comedians Jack Whitehall and Casey Wilson.
While Kardashian has been savaged by the public for her acting skills, she has managed to bring big ratings to the majority of the projects that she's appeared in.
Her star-studded legal drama All's Fair on Hulu broke records for the streamer, becoming the most-watched scripted Hulu series debut in three years.
However, Kardashian did receive scathing reviews for her role in the show, and was also criticized by fans for taking top billing over her A-list castmates, which included Glenn Close and Naomi Watts.
One fan commented, 'In what world is Naomi Watts playing second fiddle in this hot mess?'
Kardashian was previously slammed for taking top billing over her co-stars in Hulu's legal drama All's Fair
Another wrote, 'Kim Kardashian sharing screen space with such established actors and getting a role that is somehow more important than them is just not right.'
The series, which also stars Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash, was renewed for a second season in November.
All’s Fair stars Kardashian as Allura Grant, a high-powered divorce lawyer in Los Angeles whose firm specializes in winning big settlements for their female clients.
Celebrity guest stars during the first season included Jessica Simpson, Elizabeth Berkley, Brooke Shields, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Judith Light.
