Divorce looks good on Nicole Kidman – really good.
Nine months after she and Keith Urban, her husband of nearly 20 years and father to her two teenage daughters, called it quits, the Moulin Rouge star looks younger and more fabulous than ever.
The 59-year-old is everywhere, on the cover of Vogue Australia in a teeny tiny Chanel bikini, on red carpets and out promoting her long-awaited fan favorite sequel, Practical Magic 2. She has a rumored new beau on her arm, private equity businessman Michael Reinstein and has even had a song named after her – the raunchy breakout track from viral sensation, Adela.
Not so long ago, she was grieving the end of a marriage on which, by all accounts, she had wanted to work. Now, by any measure it seems, she has 'won' the divorce. She got the girls – Urban sees his children just 59 days a year – the Nashville family home, the local Whole Foods and their shared hairdresser.
Which begs the question: Is Urban, left in the wake of his dazzling 5ft 11in ex, feeling just a little bit small?
'He wants people to talk about his music, not about Nicole or his divorce,' a source told the Daily Mail.

That may well be, but according to the insider it is the divorce – and Kidman – who are top of his mind right now. Urban is currently in the studio working on a forthcoming album that is 'sad but really good' and is, at least partially, about Kidman.
'He's not regretful about his decision' to end things with his ex-wife, they added. 'But he misses Nicole.'
It is understood that the 5ft 9 country singer had been the one to instigate the break – announced on September 29 last year.
At the time, sources close to Kidman said Kidman was devastated by the split, which insiders at the time told the Daily Mail was caused in part by a lack of intimacy – as well as their busy schedules. In her filing, Kidman cited irreconcilable differences.
'Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming, or he is on tour,' one source told the Daily Mail at the time of their split.
So it's ironic that, insiders now tell the Daily Mail, Urban is keeping his schedule packed, in a bid perhaps to ditch the sad cowboy routine and get his groove back: 'He wants to be booked and busy as it's a good distraction for what's going on in his personal life.'
And what is that exactly? Lately, the Blue Ain't Your Color crooner has been frequenting restaurants and spots he used to go to with Kidman, including Sushi-San and Restoration Hardware in Nashville where they're both still based.
'But he goes and eats alone,' the insider said.
Despite rumors that Urban is dating everyone from Jennifer Lopez, 57, to Karley Scott Collins, the 26-year-old country singer who opened for him on his 2025 tour, he has denied any romantic relationship. He is single and not interested in a relationship right now, according to a source.
Urban was 'humiliated by the media and what was put out there about him - who he was dating, who he was sleeping with, who he was living with,' they said.
Now, he is waiting for the intrigue surrounding his personal life to die down before he tries to date again. 'But privately,' the same source said. 'So it won't be all over the Internet.'

It's true that the details of his divorce with Kidman have been hard to escape online.
In September 2025, after hitting a rocky stretch that summer, the Oscar winner and Urban's reportedly acrimonious split came to light following 19 years of marriage.
Not long after ringing in the new year, the former couple reached a settlement agreement in which Kidman retained primary residential custody of their daughters.
The settlement, in which both parents agreed to waive all rights to child support and spousal support, gives the actress 306 days a year with Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15, leaving their father just every other weekend.
Kidman, who also has two children, Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, with first husband Tom Cruise, has spent much of her time post-divorce with her daughters, including an Italian getaway where she was seen sipping Aperol spritzes with her rumored boyfriend, Reinstein, 54.
In March, The Others star told Variety that she was 'grateful' for her family who were keeping her grounded during such a difficult time.
'I'm staying in a place of, "We are a family," and that's what we'll continue to be,' she said. 'My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.'
Her eldest, Sunday Rose, is actively pursuing a career in high-fashion modeling and made her runway debut at 16 during Paris Fashion Week in October 2024, walking for Miu Miu. She has continued walking in major events.
While Faith has kept a lower profile, making a rare public appearance alongside her mom at this year's Paris Fashion Week. Her last sighting was a year earlier when she made an on-screen cameo alongside her mother in a luxury beauty campaign in July 2025.
One insider told the Daily Mail in September that, 'Nicole has played the post-divorce game very well by focusing on her family first, establishing herself as a solid single mom. And she is a great mom.'
The insider added that the girls 'worship her and would do anything she asked,' claiming they are now 'much closer to their mom than their dad' – something Urban has reportedly found crushing.
'The girls are definitely Team Nicole - they're in her corner, they're hurt and angry on her behalf,' a source said in September.
Yet, more recently, a source told the Daily Mail that Urban would 'love to be in his daughters' life more, but they're both busy with their own lives, and he's on the road most of the time.'
Right now, the country hitmaker is focused on making new music and booking more shows after last year's High and Alive World Tour, which struggled to generate either headlines or critical praise.
'Music festivals, cruises - whatever you name it,' the same source said of Urban's upcoming tour plans. 'Really wherever he can get work.'
When he doesn't have a gig, the former American Idol judge is reportedly trying to keep things low-key.
Urban, who has openly struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in the past, is 'not into partying right now,' the source said.
The Days Go By singer, who started doing cocaine in the early 1990s, has credited Kidman with saving his life, telling Rolling Stone in 2014: 'I wasn't in AA. I didn't have a sponsor. I didn't have anything.
'Meeting Nic and falling in love with Nic and starting a relationship with Nic became, I realize now in hindsight, my sobriety. That was how I was able to keep it together.'
The New Zealand-born singer reportedly signed an agreement with the actress before their 2006 wedding, which awards him $900,000 for every year of marriage he steered clear of drugs and alcohol, according to Radar Online.

Back in August, a source close to Urban told the Daily Mail that the musician was 'still sober. He didn't mess up his sobriety. He's about to hit 20 years this year.'
In the months since his divorce, Urban has spent his time with 'a tight-knit circle' of friends and bandmates whom he can trust. 'He finds solace in being away from crowds and the noise,' the source noted.
However, it's not easy finding peace when your ex is in the middle of a personal and professional renaissance about which no one can stop talking.
Sources told the Daily Mail in September that Kidman's post-divorce glow-up may have triggered a mid-life crisis of sorts for the country star, who, a month earlier, had become emotional before performing his new song, We Go Back.
In his introduction, he said the Flow State track was about an ex 'moving on' with somebody else before wiping away tears. That same summer, Kidman had been spotted cozying up to Reinstein in Portofino, Italy in exclusive photographs obtained by the Daily Mail.
Yet Urban has no animosity towards the Babygirl star or her success, according to those who know him.
'He's very fond of Nicole,' the source said. 'That love for her never went away - and it never will.'
