It’s the 2026 Oscars, so why not keep it in the family.

Especially if your mom is an Oscar-winner in her own right. Indeed, more than five decades after Goldie Hawn was unable to accept her Best Supporting Actress statuette due to her filming schedule, the Cactus Flower star was by daughter Kate Hudson’s side as she arrived at her second Academy Awards as a nominee.

For the occasion, the Song Sung Blue actress donned a glittery mint green Armani Privé gown, alongside Garatti jewelry. She did more than just look like a million bucks, though, as her jaw-dropping look featured $35 million worth of the green diamonds. As for Goldie, she kept her look classic bohemian in a black glittery Grayseful by Maria Lopez gown. (For all the red carpet fashion at the Oscars, click here.)

While Kate was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Almost Famous back in 2001, this time around she’s in the Best Lead Actress category alongside Hamnet’s Jessie Buckley, Sentimental Value’s Renate Reinsve, Bugonia’s Emma Stone and If I had Legs I’d Kick You’s Rose Byrne.

And ahead of the ceremony, the mom of three admitted that fiancé Danny Fujikawa was not an automatic shoe-in for her Oscars plus one. (Fellow nominee Jacob Elordi also made it clear his mom was getting the coveted ticket.)

"I hope she's my date. We'll see. It would be nice," she shared on The Actor’s Side podcast in February. "We'll see how that works, too, but I'd like to have my mom on my arm. I'm like, 'I love you, Danny, but I feel like Mommy might need to be my date for the Oscars.' But we'll see."

Of course, Goldie isn’t the only family member to join Kate during award season as brother Oliver Hudson stepped in to join her at the Actor Awards after Danny got ill just before the ceremony.

As for Goldie, in the decades since the 1970 ceremony—which saw Raquel Welch accept on her behalf—she’s expressed what it would have meant to take in the moment in person.

“I never got dressed up. I never got to pick up the award,” the First Wives Club star told Variety in 2023. “I regret it. It’s something that I look back on now and think, ‘It would have been so great to be able to have done that.’”

And as her daughter possibly joins the ranks of Oscar winners, Goldie will be by her side. For all the stars who stepped out at the 2026 Oscars, keep reading…
