Judge Judy Sheindlin opened up about her future in broadcasting in a new interview ahead of her series Judy Justice wrapping up next month.

The acerbic former prosecutor, 83, is best known for her near 30-year run on reality courtroom series, Judge Judy, which ran for a whopping 25 seasons from 1996-2021.

After five years at the helm of Judy Justice, the coy 83-year-old TV star told People Thursday, 'I have a lot of other things of interest.'

She added, 'I don't want to do hair and makeup anymore, but I still want my message to get out there.'

The TV star told the publication that she plans to produce a small-claims court program featuring her son Adam Levy, 58, called Adam's Law.

Sheindlin said that her son 'has what it takes' to pick up where she's leaving off after her career on TV, as his background includes work on the Prime Video series Tribunal Justice.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Sheindlin for further comment on the story.

She added, 'There aren't a lot of people who can carry a half hour on their own unscripted.'

Levy described his mother to the publication as a 'tough cookie,' recalling how she taught him to be independent when he was growing up.

He told the outlet she told him, 'If you want baseball cards, don't ask me for money.'

Levy told the outlet that after he graduated from New York's Hofstra Law School, Sheindlin 'was not happy' after he passed on a professional opportunity so he could relax for a year in his legal career and work as a ski instructor.

He said that in one instance, officials from the Suffolk County, New York district attorney had called him about a job.

Levy said Sheindlin answered the phone and said, 'Hi, this is Adam Levy's mom. And yes, he's going to take that job.'

Levy's legal background includes experience in private practice and multiple terms as Putnam County, New York's district attorney.

Sheindlin said that she feels her son is properly seasoned in both law and TV.

Levy, who is father to three children with spouse Lori Leichtman, is based out of Wyoming, and films his series in Stamford, Connecticut. He said that he's able to enjoy spending time with his mother during his trips to the East Coast.

Sheindlin told the outlet she has a special sense of peace as she wraps up her career in front of the camera.

'I don't think that I've ever been this content before,' she said. 'I don't have to prove anything else. I did it.'

Adam's Law is slated to debut on September 14.
