Jessica Biel has been cast in Playmates, a forthcoming film about the Playboy Mansion, in the role of a one-time Playboy Playmate who is Hugh Hefner's wife.
Biel, 44, will play a 'fictional character' who is the spouse of the late Playboy founder in the motion picture written and directed by Lorraine Nicholson, sources told Deadline on Tuesday.
Biel said in an Instagram Stories post on Tuesday that she was 'absolutely thrilled to join this project with this amazing cast!'
The Ely, Minnesota-born actress - who was seen in New York City with husband Justin Timberlake, 45, on Monday - is not specifically based on any of the three women Hefner had been previously married to.
Hefner had been married on three occasions: to Millie Williams between 1949 and 1959; to Kimberley Conrad between 1989 and 2010; and to Crystal Harris from 2012 until his death at 91 in 2017.
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Biel for further comment on the story.

The rest of the cast includes Bill Pullman in the role of Hefner; Lily-Rose Depp playing a character named Anna; and child actress Indiana Elle in the role of Elle.
According to the outlet, the story is described as a 'coming-of-age' narrative focused on Elle, who views the Playboy Mansion as a 'second home.'
There, she befriends Anna, who is among a group of seven models seeking to be the magazine's Playmate of the Month. The pair comes to the aid of one another in achieving mutual goals.
The motion picture marks the first feature film directed by Lorraine Nicholson, the daughter of Hollywood icon Jack Nicholson. The film was picked up last month by Searchlight Pictures.
Hefner - who once bragged that he had slept with 'over a thousand' women - previously said that he'd never found his soulmate.
The mogul, who launched the Playboy magazine in 1953, tearfully noted in a 1992 New York Times interview: 'I've spent so much of my life looking for love in all the wrong places.'
He later acknowledged, at age 85, that 'I never really found my soulmate.'
The Playboy founder insisted he has always been faithful during his marriages, but 'made up for it' when he was single.
News of the casting comes days after Biel and Timberlake celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary on Sunday, each posting tributes to one another on social media.
For his part, the Sexy Back hitmaker uploaded a snapshot of them holding hands while on a stroll overseas.

He simply wrote, 'Happy anniversary,' and tagged his longtime wife. Biel hugged her husband from behind in another photo as he wrote, '14 down. Forever to go,' and added a hug emoji.
Timberlake also uploaded a photo of the former 7th Heaven star with a Lumati face mask and gushed that she is 'my favorite person in every lifetime.'
It comes more than two years after the former NSYNC star's June 2024 DWI arrest in The Hamptons. Timberlake and Biel share sons Silas, 11, and Phineas, six.
The Candy actress took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of the former Mickey Mouse Club star skiing with their kids.
She called him 'the best dad' and added a gold medallion emoji with the number one.
The longtime entertainer also posted an image of her kissing Timberlake's cheek at a red carpet event alongside the caption: 'I love you.'
At the time of his arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, police pulled Timberlake over for driving through a stop sign and veering onto the wrong side of the road.
Footage showed him telling officers he had only had 'one martini and I followed my f***ing friends home' before complaining about sobriety tests and being treated 'like a criminal' and attempting to explain that he was on a world tour.
He pleaded guilty to impaired driving in September 2024 and agreed to a $500 fine, 25 hours of community service and a 90-day suspension of his license.
The former child star also agreed to give a public safety announcement about the dangers of drunk driving as part of the plea deal that brought down his initial misdemeanor charge to a noncriminal traffic violation.
The couple, who first met in 2007, began an on-and-off relationship that spanned four years until their brief split in March 2011.
They reconciled by November that year and Timberlake proposed to Biel the following month. They were married in the south of Italy in October 2012.

This past Mother's Day, the father of two paid tribute to his wife on Instagram, calling her and his mom 'the greatest women I know.'
'It’s like, once you find that person, it’s like a baptism, where you’re like, "I can’t go back," you know what I mean?' Timberlake told Entertainment Tonight about Biel in 2019.
'Like, I don’t, I can’t go back, so... which is what fatherhood's like too,' he added.
Timberlake and Biel's relationship faced scrutiny when photos of the music artist holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright, 36, were published that same year.
The actors, who portrayed on-screen lovers, were pictured together sitting in the corner of the balcony at a bar in New Orleans.
Timberlake later publicly apologized to Biel for his 'strong lapse in judgement,' acknowledging that he 'drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior.'
'I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that,' he said in a statement.
