Jennifer Aniston and dozens of other A-list stars named in Hollywood voting scandal

Top celebrities including Jennifer Aniston appear to be flouting Los Angeles County rules for voter registration, a Daily Mail data analysis reveals.

LA voters must register at their home address, but voter roll data obtained by the Daily Mail shows Aniston as well as other actors, singers and stars registered at a business office in West Hollywood.

Suite 600 at 9200 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, pops up as the residential address for Aniston, Step Up actress Jenna Dewan, ER star Linda Cardellini, Big Sky and Vikings actress Katheryn Winnick, Desperate Housewives notable Nicollette Sheridan, Spider-Man: Homecoming star Laura Harrier, Gilmore Girls favorite Matt Czuchry, singer Debbie Gibson, and comedian Hamish Linklater, among others.

According to voter registration rules, all the celebrities would have needed to sign an affidavit under penalty of perjury that the address was their home residence.

But in fact, the suite is the business address of money manager to the stars, Michael Ullman, for his firm Platinum Financial Management, Inc.

There are a total 36 voters registered at his office, according to the voter rolls.

Jennifer Aniston displays an 'I voted' sticker. She is among dozens of Hollywood stars whose voter registrations list the same West Hollywood office address, according to records seen by the Daily Mail

Ullman told the Daily Mail his firm helped his famous clients by using his office for their mail.

'They don't live here,' Ullman said.

'It's just a mailing address, but it's not their residential address. So it gets mailed here, but they voted in their area.'

But county officials disagree, saying the 36 celebrity voter registrations are not recorded as merely mailing addresses; they were on the forms as home addresses.

'That's weird. That's not my understanding,' Ullman said, when asked about the county's stance.

Election law expert Amber Hulse of the Dhillon Law Group told the Daily Mail that being a celebrity does not exempt you from giving your home address to vote.

'You're allowed to use a mailing address, like a business address or something like that,' Hulse said. 'But they still need to provide their residential address as their domicile.

Michael Ullman, who told the Daily Mail that famous clients use his office to receive mail but do not live there

'If, for example, Jennifer Aniston is using it as her residence, when it is clearly not her residence, then it would be illegal.

'When you sign up to register to vote, you're signing under penalty of perjury. It would be the crime of perjury in California.

'People can hide their residential address for privacy concerns, but celebrity is not one of those options.'

The registration data obtained by the Daily Mail includes information on whether the voter has been granted an exemption to keep their address confidential. None of the 36 have this exemption, according to the county voter rolls.

According to the rolls, Harrier registered the office as her residence on March 23 this year, and Dewan registered there on December 12, 2025.

The oldest registration there is from 2002, for director Campion Murphy, husband of Faith Ford who played Corky Sherwood in the renowned CBS sitcom Murphy Brown. Ford was also registered to vote at the office in 2008.

Jennifer Aniston was last registered at the office address on January 29, 2025.

In the 2024 general election, 27 out of the 36 registrants at the office voted, according to the LA County Registrar data – including Aniston.

Other Hollywood stars including Linda Cardellini and Nicollette Sheridan appear on voter roll data linked to the office suite

Jenna Dewan shows off an 'I voted' sticker in a selfie. She registered at the office on December 12, 2025, records show

Aniston is a member of the Democratic Party and had been outspoken in her support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Some of the email addresses listed for the celebrities' voter registrations are work emails associated with Platinum Financial Management.

Hulse said that registering at an office rather than your home could allow voters to cast their ballot in a different jurisdiction.

West Hollywood, where the office is located, is a separate, much smaller city to Los Angeles, with different elected officials. For example, West Hollywood residents do not vote in the LA Mayoral race.

'The entire point of making people disclose their domicile is so that only people that are actual residents of these political subdivisions are actually voting in the election for people that would represent them,' Hulse said.

'For example, if you live in LA County, you should have no business in electing someone in San Diego County.'

The version of the database obtained by the Daily Mail is the one used for the November 2024 general election, but contains updates through 2026.

There is a more recent version of the database which was used for the June 2 Mayoral primary and other primary elections this year.

Under 'frequently asked questions' on the Los Angeles County website, it says: 'A person may only register to vote at their place of residence. A business address or a P.O. Box number may only be used as a mailing address.'

A spokesman for the LA County Registrar-Recorder confirmed dozens of voters were registered with Ullman's office as their home address, and said that they are only supposed to register where they actually live.

Actress Katheryn Winnick shares a selfie on Election Day 2024. Her registration is also linked to the address

'Under California law, voters must register at the address they identify as their domicile or residence,' county spokesman Michael Sanchez told the Daily Mail.

Sanchez said his office is 'continuing to review the records associated with this address.'

LA County officials try to conduct thorough checks to make sure nobody has a PO Box, business address or fake location for their voter registration.

But the 36 registered at Ullman's office address may have slipped through because there are some residential penthouse suites in the building, giving the tower a mixed residential-commercial status.

Sanchez said that although 'these registrations were processed appropriately and appear to have been submitted over several years,' the registrar takes voters' statements about their domicile at face value without investigating.

'If a voter attests under penalty of perjury that an address constitutes their residence or domicile, and the registration otherwise meets legal requirements, the registration is processed in accordance with state law,' Sanchez said.

'Election officials do not have independent authority to reject an otherwise valid voter registration application solely because an address may appear to be a business or non-traditional residential location.'

The Daily Mail contacted all the celebrities mentioned. None responded with comments.

The building, 9200 Sunset, also houses the celebrity-frequented private members club Soho House.
