Jasmeet Shows Frustration Over Life Choices In ‘Late Bloomer’ Season 3 Trailer

EXCLUSIVE: Jasmeet Dutta is back as Canada’s premiere millennial social media star in the trailer for Late Bloomer Season 3, but his work-life balance looks more out of whack than ever.

As the trailer for the Crave comedy-drama series begins, streamer Jasmeet (Jasmeet Raina) is in an introspective mood. Even though he’s winning awards – and even named ‘Influencer of the Year,’ we hear him say, “I don’t know what I’m doing. I did everything I could, whatever I knew I’d used and it still fell apart.”

Jasmeet’s ongoing internal battle between his traditional Canadian-Sikh family values and his life as a nationally-famous YouTuber continue to collide, in one scene ditching an event celebrating his online success and in another heading out on stage to roaring studio fans. He’s included in a 150 Under 150 feature and named as ‘The Generational Voice of Diaspora’ on Influence Today magazine’s front cover, but it’s no good. “I just feel like I’m kind of existing,” he tells a friend.

The trailer also hints at the usual mix of relationship troubles, family arguments and well-intentioned friends not always helping.

“Season three is the most ambitious and biggest world we’ve created to date,” Raina told Deadline. “It’s fun, funny, and still pulls at the heartstrings – for all the sob-heads out there. I can’t wait for folks to start watching.”

Raina and Nelu Handa have taken on showrunning duties for Season 3, with star Raina also directing four episodes. Canadian filmmaker Fawzia Mirza is directing the other four. The show is based on the life of Raina, who was previously known as YouTuber JusReign.

Ethriel Productions and Blink49 Studios make the show in association with Bell, whose sales company, Sphere Abacus, sells it internationally. The new season launches on April 24.

In further Late Bloomer news, Sphere Abacus has sold it to Lionsgate Play in India, where it has already launched.
