Jane Fonda, 88, showcases her age-defying looks in a glitzy red dress as she enjoys a dance with Kristen Bell in sweet runway moment on the L'Oreal catwalk at Paris Fashion Week

Jane Fonda proved age is just a number as she commanded attention in a glitzy red dress on the runway at the L'Oreal catwalk at Paris Fashion Week on Monday night. 

The actress, 88, showcased her age-defying looks as she wowed in the red sequined gown which she paired with red heels and a red lip. 

Jane looked to be having a wonderful time as she strutted down the catwalk before enjoying a sweet moment with fellow runway star Kristen Bell. 

After Kristen, who is a newly appointed L'Oreal Paris ambassador this year, finished her walk down the runway, she made sure to turn round to emphasise how incredible Jane looked. 

The pair then enjoyed a fun dance together as they held hands before making way for the next round of stars. 

Jane was joined at the event by supermodels Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum, Cara Delevingne and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.  

Actresses Simone Ashley, 31, and Andie MacDowell, 68, also walked the runway in glamorous gowns.

Meanwhile the show finished with a surprise finale performance from Celine Dion who is in the middle of a comeback residency in the French capital, after a battle with Stiff Person Syndrome forced her to cancel her last tour in 2023.

The singer, 58, appeared to have the time of her life as she danced with the runway stars in a glamorous strapless velour gown after her surprise finale. 

Jane previously joked that her secret to her youthful looks is 'good genes and a lot of money', after undergoing two facelifts. 

She told The Guardian in 2015 that 'I think I bought myself a decade with plastic surgery.' 

But the star has admitted she 'is not proud' of having a facelift, and has ruled out going under the knife again because she 'doesn't want to look distorted'.

Discussing her surgery regrets in 2022 she told Vogue: 'I had a facelift and I stopped because I don't want to look distorted. I'm not proud of the fact that I had one.

'Now, I don't know if I had it to do over if I would do it. But I did it. I admit it, and then I just say, okay, you can get addicted. Don't keep doing it. A lot of women, I don't know, they're addicted to it.'

The screen star – who reportedly had her first facelift in her 40s and a second one in 2010 – added that she doesn't spend a lot of money on expensive face creams, instead insisting that laughter is just as good for the skin. 

She said: 'I don't do a lot of facials. I don't spend a lot of money on face creams or anything like that, but I stay moisturized, I sleep, I move, I stay out of the sun, and I have good friends who make me laugh. Laughter is a good thing too.'

The Grace and Frankie star touched on how ageing doesn't have to be scary, adding that she wants to bring awareness that there are ways to age in both positive and healthy ways.

'I want young people to stop being afraid about getting older. What matters isn't age, isn't that chronological number. What matters is your health,' she explained, noting that her father died of heart disease when he was 'six years younger than she is now'.

'I'm almost 85, but I don't seem that old. So getting young people to stop being afraid of being old, helping people realize that just because you're a certain age doesn't mean you have to give up on life...'

In 2020 she told Elle Canada: 'I can’t pretend that I’m not vain, but there isn’t going to be any more plastic surgery - I’m not going to cut myself up anymore.'
