It's a girl! Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse welcome first child and share adorable family photo: 'We took Labor Day literally'

Model Barbara Palvin and actor Dylan Sprouse announced they have welcomed their daughter.

'We took Labor Day literally this year,' Palvin and Sprouse said in a joint Instagram post on Monday in which they were holding their child.

In the picture, both Palvin, 32, and Sprouse, 34, donned Los Angeles Dodgers baseball jerseys while holding their child, as they watched a ballgame on TV.

Palvin, a Victoria's Secret Angel, first revealed her pregnancy this past May at the Cannes Film Festival as she walked the red carpet with Sprouse with her baby bump on display.

The duo, who wed in 2023, chronicled the pregnancy in a series of social media posts over the summer. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Sprouse and Palvin for further comment on the story.

In July, Sprouse revealed the baby's gender while on his podcast Wildmen, saying that he was 'excited to be a girl dad.'

He said, 'We are having a baby girl, which I'm very excited about. 

'We've been calling her principessa, which I don't know why that's been our like - it's Italian for princess.'

Palvin said in an appearance on the podcast that she felt 'guilty' at times because she hadn't been 'enjoying pregnancy as much as a lot of women out there.'

The Budapest, Hungary-born model added, 'I know it's a gift - it's hard to breathe - I don't know if the mic is picking it up.'

Palvin went into detail on body image issues she faced during the pregnancy, as she said it had been 'weird' as she saw 'the number on the scale really going up super quick.'

She added, 'You don't have a bump yet, but your stomach is bigger, and your pants don't fit.'

Palvin said she had 'started spiraling' crediting Sprouse for providing strength and support at the time.

'This is when it's important that you have a good partner,' Palvin said. 'Dylan was there reminding me every single time that we're creating life.'

Speaking about details of her pregnancy, Palvin said, 'I do feel similarities from the first trimester cuz my hunger is getting crazy. If I don't eat, I'm nauseous. I have a lot of stomach acid.

'I should be eating more protein. That was my mistake the first trimester, too, that I wasn't eating.'

In the chat, Palvin told her spouse, 'You're going to be so stressed about the princess,' to which he said, 'I just also unironically love a tea party.'

Sprouse spoke in-depth about his anticipation about parenthood this past August on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat.

He said, 'We have a very small family in general, but this is the first Sprouse girl in a very long time, which makes me nervous because I come from a family of just boys. So, my dad can't really help me understand this.'

The actor said aspects of being a girl dad were 'completely unknown' to him, but he remained 'very excited.'

Sprouse noted, 'All my buddies who have boys seem like they're undergoing like a traumatic experience.'
