Invincible Cast & Character Guide - What The Voice Actors Look Like

Amazon Prime Video's Invincible is based on the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, which concluded in 2018 after 144 published issues. Shortly after the final issue hit comic store shelves, Amazon announced it was adapting the story as an adult animated series. Invincible follows the story of a teenager named Mark Grayson, the son of Earth's most powerful superhero, Omni-Man, an alien from Viltrum. Mark's life changes near his eighteenth birthday when he finally gains superpowers like his father's.

He soon becomes known as Invincible, helps Omni-Man protect Earth, and joins the superhero team known as the Teen Team. As Mark begins his superhero career, though, he must figure out how to balance his regular and superhero lives. Known for its surprising and unconventional story, great characters, and high level of violence, Amazon's Invincible series is a largely faithful adaptation of the comics. This includes quickly establishing a rich world filled with different characters, with newcomers arriving in each new season.

Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson aka Invincible

Birthdate: December 21, 1983

Character: Steven Yeun plays the lead role of Mark Grayson, aka Invincible in Invincible. Mark is the son of Nolan and Debbie Grayson, and Nolan is the world's greatest superhero, Omni-Man. In the first season, Mark's powers kicked in, and he became Invincible. However, Mark soon learned that his father was an alien from another world who was preparing Earth for an invasion and hostile takeover, making his mission to protect his home more personal as he had to face his own father to save the planet.

Actor: Steven Yeun is best known for his role as Glenn in The Walking Dead TV series. He also received an Oscar nomination for his work in Minari and starred in Jordan Peele's sci-fi horror movie Nope. Yeun's voice can also be heard in animated shows like 3Below: Tales of Arcadia, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and Trolhunters: Tales of Arcadia. In 2023, Yeun joined the dark comedy series Beef, which earned him more acclaim, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award for his performance.

J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson aka Omni-Man

Birthdate: January 9, 1955

Character: J.K. Simmons is the voice of Nolan Grayson, aka Omni-Man. He was one of Eartth's most powerful heroes and a former member of the Guardians of the Globe before their defeat. However, it was soon discovered that he was the villain behind it all, an alien sent to Earth to prepare it for an invasion and hostile takeover. This put him at odds with his son, Invincible, who chose to defend his home on Earth even if it meant fighting his father to do so. Omni-Man began his path to redemption in season 2.

Actor: J.K. Simmons is best known for his role as J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and the new take he brought to Spider-Man: Far From Home. He also won Best Supporting Actor for the movie Whiplash and has appeared in other properties like Zack Snyder's Justice League and La La Land. Simmons' voice-only work includes BoJack Horseman and The Legend of Korra. He also has a strong television career, as a former member of the Law & Order cast and in the HBO series Oz.

Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson

Birthdate: July 20, 1971

Character: Sandra Oh provides the voice of Mark's sweet and caring mother Debbie Grayson in Invincible. Debbie is Nolan (Omni-Man)'s wife, and she does not know that he is actually an invading alien preparing for a hostile invasion and takeover. However, when she learns about Nolan's background and the destruction he caused while battling their son, she undergoes a full transformation. She soon starts to take more control of her relationship with Mark and her new stepson, Oliver.

Actor: Sandra Oh is an actress best known for her role as Dr. Cristina Yan in Grey's Anatomy and her leading role as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve. Sandra Oh's voice can also be heard in the Disney Animation movie Raya and the Last Dragon, Pixar's Turning Red, and the TV reboot of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. In movies, she also had major roles in the Paul Giamatti film Sideways and in the horror film Umma, which she also served as a producer on.

Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett

Birthdate: June 1, 1991

Character: Zazie Beetz provides the voice of Amber Bennett in Invincible. Amber is one of Mark's main love interests in the comics. In the Prime Video series, she is someone who Mark is trying to get to date him. The two have a strong relationship for much of the first two seasons, but they decide they need to break up for good after Amber almost dies at the hands of one of Mark's enemies. Whether they move on to a new level in their relationship in season 3 or not remains unknown.

Actor: Zazie Beetz enjoyed her breakout role on the FX television comedy series Atlanta, where she earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for her role as Van Kiefer. For movie fans, she was a major character in two different superhero properties. She first appeared in Deadpool 2 as the superhero Domino, and then she was the love interest Sophie Dumond in Joker. She also had a role in the Brad Pitt action movie Bullet Train and the disaster film Geostorm.

Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve

Birthdate: October 19, 1982

Character: Gillian Jacobs plays Atom Eve, another love interest for Mark and a member of the Teen Team who can manipulate the state of atoms. Much of her early appearances have Eve competing with Amber for Mark's attention, but it is Amber who Mark has the most feelings for. Atom Eve is a bioengineered superhero who can manipulate matter at a subatomic level. She also had a chance to join the new Guardians of the Globe but instead chose to be an independent humanitarian hero.

Actor: Gillian Jacobs is best known for her role as Britta Perry in Community. Her recent credits include Disney+'s Magic Camp, The Twilight Zone, and a guest appearance on Rick and Morty. She also had a lead role in the Judd Apatow Netflix series Love, where she played Mickey Dobbs. In 2023, she took on a recurring role in the Hulu drama series The Bear and appeared in all three Fear Street movies on Netflix, playing Christine "Ziggy" Berman.

Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Splode

Birthdate: December 18, 1972

Character: Jason Mantzoukas plays Rex Splode, a rival of Mark's and fellow Teen Team member who can accelerate molecules with energy to make them explode. He goes on to become a member of the newly formed replacement for the Guardians of the Globe superhero team. Unlike Mark and Eve, Rex is often abrasive and rude, coming across as antagonistic to even his friends. He also dated Eve, although he was possessive of her and cheated on her with Dupli-Kate.

Actor: Jason Mantzoukas has appeared in many of the biggest TV comedies in recent years, including The Good Place, Parks and Recreation, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He's also lent his voice to Big Mouth and DuckTales. He remains best known for his role in the FX comedy series The League, where he starred as Rafi. He also took on the role of the Tick Tock Man in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum and as the god Dionysus in the DIsney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Zachary Quinto as Robot

Birthdate: June 2, 1977

Character: Zachary Quinto plays Robot in Invincible, with his character serving as the previous leader of the Teen Team. As the series wore on, he soon moved into a new role as a member of the Guardians of the Globe after Omni-Man killed all the members of the original roster. Robot is a unique character because he is not an AI in a robot body but a drone controlled by a human. He soon used a sample of Rex Splode's blood to develop an artificially grown body and have a life of his own after the original died.

Actor: Zachary Quinto is best known for his roles as Sylar in Heroes and as Spock in JJ Abrams' Star Trek movies. He's also had roles recently in The Boys in the Band, NOS4A2, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Quinto also voiced Aiden in Big Mouth and Lex Luthor in Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Quinto impressed critics with his roles in the American Horror Story franchise, where he appeared in multiple seasons. Ross Marquand as The Immortal & Aquarus - Marquand is best known for his role as Aaron in The Walking Dead, as well as voicing Red Skull in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. He plays the Guardians of the Globe's leader and Superman parody, The Immortal, and ruler of the seas, Aquarus, in Invincible. The Immortal is a superhero gifted with immortality, while Aquarus is a hero from an undersea nation.

Lauren Cohan as War Woman - Cohan is best known for her role as Maggie in The Walking Dead and has also appeared in The Boy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Mile 22, and Whiskey Cavalier. Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost - Best known for her role as Sasha in The Walking Dead, Sonequa Martin-Green plays the Guardians of the Globe's density-changing member, Green Ghost. She is also the star of Star Trek: Discovery and has appeared in New Girl and Once Upon a Time.

Lennie James as Darkwing - James is best known as Morgan from The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. He plays the Guardians of the Globe's Batman parody, Darkwing, in Invincible.

Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush - Cudlitz is best known for his role as Abraham in The Walking Dead (a recurring theme for Invincible's cast), and he's also appeared in Southland and Clarice. He voices the Guardians of the Globe's speedster Red Rush, that team's version of The Flash.

Grey Griffin as Monster Girl - Griffin is best known for her voice work as Catwoman in several DC video games, Daphne in Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, and Paradise PD. Monster Girl has a romance with Robot and has the power to grow from a little girl to a monster. She also gets a bit younger each time she uses her abilities.

Chris Diamantopoulos as government agent Donald Ferguson and villain Doc Seismic - Diamantopoulos recurred on Silicon Valley as Russ Hanneman and also voices roles in DuckTales and Blood of Zeus.

Melise as Dupli-Kate - Melisa, also known as Malese Jow, has appeared in Big Time Rush, The Flash, and The Shannara Chronicles. Dupli-Kate can make copies of herself.

Khary Payton as Black Samson - Payton is best known as Ezekiel in The Walking Dead and also voiced Cyborg and others in Teen Titans Go!, as well as Aqualad and others in Young Justice.

Xolo Mariduena as Fightmaster & Dropkick - Fightmaster and Dropkick are twins who show up in Invincible season 3. They are from a troubled future, and they will risk everything to save the world they came from. Both twins are voiced by Xolo Mariduena, who most fans know from his starring role in Cobra Kai as Miguel Diaz and in the DC Comics movie Blue Beetle, as the titular hero.

Christian Convery as Oliver Grayson - Christian Convery takes over the role of Oliver Grayson, Mark's younger stepbrother who is half Viltrumite and half Thraxan and grew up very fast. Lincoln Bodin voiced him in season 2, but Convery replaced him in season 3. Simu Liu as Multi-Pail - Multi-Laul is an elite assassin who works for Mr. Liu's criminal organization. He is the brother of Dupli-Kate, and while he took the opposite path of his sister, the two are still strongly connected. Most fans know Simu Liu as the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero Shang-Chi. On top of that, he has also appeared in Barbi and enjoyed his breakout in the CBC Television sitcom Kim's Convenience.
