This actress's career spans 50 years, and she's worked with A-listers including Mia Farrow, Natalie Portman, and Bette Midler.

Hailing from Hollywood, California, she was recently spotted getting groceries in her hometown.

The 78-year-old star's career began in the late 60s, when she appeared on the ABC series The Monroes.

She later made her film debut in 1968's With Six You Get Eggroll, co-starring alongside Doris Day.

In 1986 she acted with Mia Farrow in the Woody Allen rom-com Hannah and Her Sisters, and in 2010 she played Natalie Portman's overbearing mother in Black Swan.

It's none other than beloved movie star Barbara Hershey.

She was spotted out and about over the weekend, making a trip to her local Gelson's food store.

The show business veteran kept cool and comfortable in a white maxi dress with a speckled burgundy pattern throughout.

She wore strappy beige sandals and her grey-colored bob haircut grazed her collarbone.

At one point, Hershey wore frameless eyeglasses with a pink-colored bridge and arms. 

The actress later emerged in a breezy black dress to pick up her mail outside of her gated residence. 

Following her introduction to the screen in the 60s, Hershey appeared as the titular character in Martin Scorsese's 1972 Boxcar Bertha.

That same year, she gave birth to her only child, son Tom Carradine, whom she shared with co-star and former partner David Carradine.

Another one of her notable roles is her turn in the 1988 Scorsese drama The Last Temptation of Christ, which saw her portray Mary Magdalene. 

Earlier this year, the seasoned entertainer reunited with the aforementioned Midler, her Beaches co-star.

The legendary actresses won numerous accolades for their respective performances as lifelong friends C.C. Bloom and Hillary Whitney in director Garry Marshall's 1988 tearjerker.

This past February the women reconnected, and appeared in a selfie shared by Midler on Instagram.

It was captioned, 'It’s a BEACHES reunion! Here I am with the great Barbara Hershey! We go back a-ways!!!' 

Hershey tied the knot with artist Stephen Douglas in 1992, but the union lasted just over a year.
