Cameron Diaz has reflected on her acting hiatus and having her first child aged 47 as she spoke in a rare new interview on Monday.
The actress, now 53, said that she was glad she took a break to focus on her family life.
Cameron and her husband Benji Madden have two children together: a called daughter Raddix, six, and a son Cardinal who is two.
Cameron - who returned to acting last year after taking a decade-long hiatus -will next star alongside Keanu Reeves in the new Apple TV film Outcome
She told Ok! Magazine: 'To be able to still do this at such a high level with people like Keanu Reeves is a thrill for me.
'I'm glad I took a break and I was able to focus on family and a part of my life that means so much to me but I still love doing this. It's the best job in the world.'

She added that she 'loves' being a mother and that it is the 'best' part of her life.
Discussing being an older parent she added: 'I'm just trying to stay alive just like every other mother.'
It comes shortly after she opened up about her distaste for Botox and other cosmetic procedures, as she prefers to embrace natural aging.
Over a decade ago, she said she 'regretted' how Botox 'changed' her face and revealed she stopped wearing heavy makeup in her 40s.
'I've tried [Botox] before, where it was like [a] little tiny touch of something,' she recalled.
'It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, 'No, I don't want to [be] like [that],'' she told Entertainment Tonight in 2014.
She added: 'I'd rather see my face aging than a face that doesn't belong to me at all.'
A source close to Cameron also previously revealed that she used to be 'under pressure' to get work done, but 'hated' how Botox changed her natural appearance.
'It's no secret Cameron used to get a little bit of work, just like everybody else in her industry, she was under pressure to get Botox and all that stuff,' the insider told OK Magazine.
She told Ok! Magazine: 'I'm glad I took a break and I was able to focus on family and a part of my life that means so much to me but I still love doing this. It's the best job in the world'
'But she hated how it changed her face and swore off it years ago, and it's really paid off because she looks fantastic and very natural, unlike a lot of her peers.'
She will also soon star in movie The Sham alongside Stephen Merchant
In The Sham, Stephen stars as a British employee of an upscale New York hotel who desperately needs a wife to maintain public appearances.
Cameron's struggling comic needs health insurance and plots a transactional fake marriage with him.
Even though the pair's fake marriage begins as a business transaction, it soon turns into an unexpected romance.
The Prime Video romantic comedy kicked off production in New York City last month, and no release date has been announced.
