Howard Stern's wife breaks silence on his show's HBO move after his channel 101 was DROPPED by SiriusXM… following mass layoffs

Howard Stern's wife Beth Stern spoke for the first time about his new HBO Max endeavor, after the recent announcement the radio icon will be streaming his program on the platform every week.

Beth, 54, spoke with The Daily Mail on Thursday while attending the New York Fashion Week show for Alice + Olivia at the venue 583 Park Avenue.

The Pittsburgh-born model, author and animal rights activist, asked about the HBO Max project, said, 'Oh my gosh, it's such a wonderful [thing] - I mean, so Howard!'

Beth was asked about how changes in Stern's show impacts their home life, as he's slated to broadcast one new weekly live show on his Sirius XM channel Howard 100, after Andy Cohen took over his 101 channel.

'It's actually great for me, because he's now going to start only working one day a week - so I get more Howard at home and he's still connected to the world, so it's a win-win for all of us,' Beth said.

Stern, who has reduced his weekly episodes from two to one, will add new shows on HBO Max each Thursday.  

SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein said in an August 31 news release of the new endeavor: 'There’s simply no one like Howard, and the start of his new season is another exciting chapter in an extraordinary run.'

Greenstein said the company was 'proud ... that Howard, HBO Max and SiriusXM have now teamed up to create a compelling new video version of his show.'

The drop down to a weekly show and one channel - and resultant lack of need for content - led SiriusXM to lay off a reported 12 staffers this past summer, including longtime writer Benjy Bronk.  

Stern will continue working from a studio in his Hamptons home, as he has primarily done since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Beth on Thursday said she and her spouse 'pretty much stay' in the Hamptons, 'but we have to come back-and-forth sometimes.'

She told The Daily Mail that Howard continues to shower her with romantic gestures, as he's always painting pictures for her.

Beth said, 'They're usually of our animals, and so he's now going to be working on a butterfly for me because I love butterflies.

'I saw him taking pictures of a butterfly - I think he's going to be painting me a butterfly.'

Beth told The Daily Mail that she was happy to support her friend, Alice + Olivia CEO Stacey Bendet, at Thursday's fashion showcase, which she was juggling with her cat fostering activities.

'I have 37 foster kittens in the foster room, so I'm literally coming to this and rushing right back to the house because there are kittens that need me,' Beth said.

She said it was fun putting on Alice + Olivia fashion and getting her makeup, hair and lashes done, as she said she doesn't 'have makeup on in the house ever when [she's] caring for all the fosters.'

Beth added, 'It's such a New York day for me.'

Stern is slated to return to his SiriusXM show Monday, and the debut episode of his HBO Max show drops on September 17, with new shows coming out each Thursday.
