It’s a huge moment for Travis, whose touchdown officially helped him surpass NFL and Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez’s record of 76.
And this isn’t the first record held by Tony, who played twelve seasons with the team, that Travis has bested this season. Back in September, the tight end also became the Chief’s all-time leader in receptions after earning his 917th catch—the significance of which was not lost on him.
“It’s crazy how things always come full circle,” Travis reflected in an episode of New Heights with brother Jason Kelce. “Being at the top of the leaderboard with the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the beginning organizations that made it all the way through that are still at their peak. And a lot of that is due to a guy like Tony Gonzalez, who has been a mentor to me.”
He continued, “I’ve tried my entire career to match what he was to this organization, to this game of football. To be in a conversation as cool as this, having as many receptions in the organization he spent the majority of his career in is just an honor."
For defensive tackle Chris Jones and girlfriend Sheawna Weathersby, Travis and Taylor gifted an orange Louis 200 box alongside several wrapped gifts—including one bag with a note from Taylor that read, “Merry Christmas She She and Chris! Travis and Taylor.”
Sheawna, who shared a snap of the presents to her Instagram Story, captioned the pic, “So blessed and grateful this holiday season. Thank yoouuu Tay Tay!”
But when it comes to gifting something to Taylor—who, as any Swiftie knows, is a mastermind gift giver—Travis’ dad Ed Kelcehas the perfect solution.

“You gotta dig down and come up with something special,” he explained on the Baskin and Phelps podcast earlier this month. “The amount of money is meaningless. You’re not gonna impress Taylor Swift with a gift that costs $100,000.”
He recommended, “Get something that tweaks the strings of her heart that you spend 10 bucks on and then she'll just be all gooey.”
