2026 has been an exciting year for Game of Thrones fans, who had not one, but two new releases on HBO Max to get fired up about — dragon pun intended. The first Game of Thrones spin-off show to take over the world was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is also a personal favorite of author George R.R. Martin. The show has already wrapped production on its second season, which is confirmed to air sometime in the second half of 2027. HBO also brought back the first Game of Thrones spin-off, House of the Dragon, for its third season during the summer. Similar to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, House of the Dragon has already been renewed for Season 4, which will also be the final season of the series.

Little is known about House of the Dragon Season 4 at this time, other than it’s expected to shoot next year before being released in 2028. However, fans don’t have to wait that long for a new release from the franchise. Recently announced on the SciFiHobby website is a new string of House of the Dragon trading cards, which are set to be released this month on October 21. The boxes for the new release contain 24 packs each, with each pack featuring five cards. While this might seem like a lot, each box is guaranteed to feature autographed cards featuring autographs from some of the show’s biggest stars, including Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, and Olivia Cooke. There are more than 25 autographed cards in total, though, so fans who want to guarantee a good pull may need to purchase more than one box, or hope for good luck.

Did People Like ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3?

People loved the first season of House of the Dragon, which was a bit of a surprise, considering how bad the reception was to the Game of Thrones series finale. Thoughts on Season 2 varied wildly, as most fans felt the show ended one or two episodes shy of a true conclusion. However, House of the Dragon Season 3 won people over, and the show has all the good will it needs going into its final season to, hopefully, stick the landing with style.

Check out the first three seasons of House of the Dragon on HBO Max and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Season 4.
