Helen Flanagan got into character as Aladdin's Spirit of the Ring as she geared up for pantomime season amid her 'money troubles'.

The former Coronation Street actress, 36, is set to star in Aladdin at Parr Hall in Warrington alongside fellow Corrie star Steven Arnold.

The show runs from December 30 to January 10, with tickets to see Helen perform ranging from £9 to £20.

Christmas pantomimes are one of the most lucrative gigs, allowing celebrities to bank eye-watering fortunes for just a few weeks of work.

Alison Hammond previously earned a staggering £195,000 for her panto appearances, while Scott Mills raked in £190,000.

Helen has spoken out on her financial problems as a single mum in recent months and recently sold the home she shared with her ex Scott Sinclair.

She shares Matilda, 11, Delilah, eight, and five-year-old Charlie with Scott, 37, whom she split from in 2022 after 13 years together.

The Daily Mail revealed last month that Scott sold the Lancashire property, which Helen lived in with her children, for £945,000 after it was originally put up for sale for £1.5million.

In an Instagram video posted shortly after the sale, Helen admitted 'I've not really been sure of myself recently.

'I kind of feel like… I'm turning 36 in August, I've just done this house move, I'm kind of unsure where I am like career wise as well.

'There's a lot of change going on and I don't know, I've just felt a bit weird in myself.'

Of where she wants to settle next, she said: 'I'm in two minds about moving to London. I was going to buy here then I decided not to buy here so everything's just been a bit, like, all over the place.

'I've just felt frustrated with work as well because I really want to act and basically, I just want a job at the moment and feel frustrated in that way.'

By the time her relationship with Scott unravelled, Helen – who was once worth a reported £3.5million – revealed she was struggling financially as a single mother, claiming she could not afford taxis to take her son to nursery.

As the pair moved on with their lives, they appeared to have taken a major step forward when their home was finally sold.

But Land Registry records show the house was snapped up by a couple who run a property management company for just £945,000 – a much lower figure than the £1.5million it was originally put on sale for in May 2025.

Helen recently sold the home she shared with her ex Scott Sinclair and is now trying to figure out her next career move

While it’s unclear what financial arrangements are in place between the couple, it seems Scott was the driving force behind the sale.

He paid for the property in cash and was the sole registered owner and, despite their lengthy relationship, the couple were never married.

A friend of the TV personality's previously said: 'Scott pays for the house and all the bills and he's decided a six-bedroom place is way too big for Helen on her own with the kids.

A £15,000 sofa became a major bone of contention between the former celebrity couple after their 13-year relationship ended just a year after they moved into their former marital home, which Scott had bought in June 2021 for £840,000.

The footballer reportedly wanted to stop paying maintenance and bills for the property, while Helen argued she'd put much of her own money into renovating the property, with parts of it redecorated and remodelled.

Amid the tensions between the former couple, Scott is said to have stepped in to block the sale of the settee in May after Helen put it up for grabs on Instagram for £3,950.
