Guy Ritchie’s Showtime Crime Series Casts ‘1883’s Alex Fine

EXCLUSIVE: Alex Fine (1883) has joined Guy Ritchie‘s as-yet-untitled crime series from Paramount+ with Showtime. Production is underway in London with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren leading the cast.

The logline reveals the show is “an electrifying, new global crime series centered around two warring families based in London whose enterprises stretch all corners of the globe and Harry Da Souza (Hardy), the fiercely loyal ‘fixer’ charged with protecting one of them at all costs.”

Brosnan and Mirren star as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, the patriarch and matriarch of a very successful Irish crime family based in London, respectively.

Fine will play “Donnie,” Harry’s adversary.

Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon and, and Jasmine Jobson also star.

The series is executive produced by Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, Kris Thykier, Ivan Atkinson, Tom Hardy, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari. The new Guy Ritchie Project, set to premiere in 2025, is produced in association with Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.

Fine began his acting career in 2021 with a recurring role as “Grady” in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel, 1883. He will next be seen in the Peter Berg-directed American Primeval for Netflix, slated for release at the top of 2025. Fine is repped by Unbreakable Entertainment.
