Any gamer who considers themselves even remotely interested in Grand Theft Auto 6 is likely to know that it will be released this November, assuming all goes to plan, and it is not delayed further. This means that many fans are well aware of Grand Theft Auto 6’s release date being merely six months away, when it was previously scheduled to launch later this month.
Regardless, even if it does eventually get delayed again, its proposed release date of November 19 has not been changed yet. It is unknown how much full-scale marketing Grand Theft Auto 6 will receive before it inevitably launches, but it will be neat to see how Rockstar approaches the release of Grand Theft Auto 6’s third trailer, especially when its last two trailers were not tackled in the same way.
On Twitter/X, user GTA 6 Countdown has made a neat point about the two trailers we have received thus far. Indeed, Trailer 1 was treated much more ceremoniously and teased with an announcement before it was released, while Trailer 2 was shadow-dropped.
Both strategies have their pros and cons, and whether Trailer 3 is announced in advance or shadow-dropped arbitrarily will be quite insightful. It would not seem as if Grand Theft Auto 6 needs to announce anything in order to generate excitement when the shadow drop of Trailer 2 was obviously effective, resulting in far more views, and fans have their own opinions on how they hope Trailer 3 arrives.
For instance, user Gta 6 Cook wants it to be an announcement because an announcement “builds the hype instead of you just missing the hype for hours due to something,” whereas user Leonidas Finest wants it to be a shadow drop because “announcing it days before takes away from the element of surprise.” Humorously, user mrolaf7 has an entirely unique opinion: “I don’t care really as long as GTA comes out this year.”
It is thrilling to know that Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 3 could be here at any moment. If it is going to be shadow-dropped, we will not know when it is set to arrive until it is already here, and every day that passes until then will be full of anticipation.
If it gets announced with an official release date, however, fans will have time to mull over what fresh details it could possibly share, such as our first look at dedicated gameplay for Grand Theft Auto 6, perhaps. Of course, it might be in fans’ best interest to not have their hopes too high for any particular element that a third trailer will feature, but a trailer arriving in the next couple of months no longer seems so farfetched as summer rolls along.
