CBS gives Ghosts season 5 a major cast expansion with the arrival of Patience's own spirit friends. The top-rated comedy is still in its mid-season hiatus during the 2025-2026 TV schedule, and won't be back on the air for a few more weeks. With this comes the continued wait on the resolution from the Ghosts season 5, episode 10 finale, which ended with the tease of "The Others" arrival.
Patience's own band of friends has long been teased on the series. However, because of other storylines that involved the rest of the main Woodstone Mansion spirits, their introduction has been cast aside. That's all about to change, however, as Sam and Jay are set to manage four more additions to an already bustling house full of ghosts.
Ahead of its return to CBS's lineup, a string of new promotional images have been released for Ghosts season 5, episode 11 (via TVInsider), including the first-look at Patience's spirit friends. Aptly titled "The Others," the outing will see the return of Flower's old cult leader, Bruce (Will Greenberg), who appears to be leading the crew. Check the photos below:
How Patience became friends with spirits from Flower's era is uncertain at this point. That said, it's clear that they are dear to her, as she uses them as a way to further her newly-formed relationship with Trevor. Admittedly, when "The Others" were first teased, there was fear that they would be a group of ghosts that had a similar vibe to Patience, but considering their ties to Flower, it's likely that they are more fun-loving and loose.
Because of the rules of the Woodstone Mansion, it's safe to say that all four new spirits also died on the property at one point. Unless they get sucked in, or CBS rewrites the guidelines, they will be around the property, mingling with the main cast. In the past, Ghosts has done a great job rotating its supporting spirits, with characters like Nigel and Bjorn appearing periodically. It's curious, however, how the show will handle four new ghosts, especially since they seem to operate as a group.
Ghosts season 5 has impressively done a great job offering unique storylines throughout its run thus far. For a show that has been on the air for that long, constantly surprising its audiences with fresh ideas is a rarity. It's interesting how "The Others" will shake things up at Woodstone Mansion, especially with how they can impact Flower and Trevor's respective personal arcs.
