Released back in October, Ghost of Yōtei burst onto the scene as the highly anticipated sequel to 2020's Ghost of Tsushima. Set in Japan during 1603, the story follows mercenary Atsu who seeks vengeance against a group known as the 'Yōtei Six' after they slaughtered her family sixteen years prior.

Ghost Of Yotei Is Back With A Whopper Of A Freebie

Released on 10 March, the major PlayStation 5 update for Ghost of Yōtei includes its Legends update, which comes in at a whopping 27GB. However, Ghost of Yōtei: Legends welcomes four new classes, punishing difficulty modes, unique cosmetics, and co-op for between 2–4 players.

“Team up with friends online in Ghost of Yotei: Legends to challenge supernatural versions of the Yotei Six in this free update. In Survival mode, play with up to three other players against enemies on one of four maps. Partner with another player to tackle a series of 12 missions in Story mode. Assault a Yotei Six stronghold in Incursion mode. In April’s Raid release, take on the Dragon and Lord Saito.”

As you can see, Ghost of Yōtei: Legends is a major update for the hit 2025 action-adventure game, adding something for everyone. If you like a challenge, you can check out the new difficulty modes, but if you are more into your fashion, there are plenty of new cosmetics available for Atsu. However, if you are interested in the four new classes, they include The Samurai who wields the ōdachi but is capable of wielding a variety of different weapons. There is also The Archer who, as you might expect, can carry an additional ranged weapon including the bow, but is also capable of wielding a spear known as the yari. The Mercenary can wield the dual katana and focus on utility-based abilities, whilst The Shinobi can use the kusarigama, and has an affinity with stealth-based skills.

PlayStation 5 Gamers Might Wanna Clear Some Space

As mentioned, the Ghost of Yōtei: Legends update comes in at 27GB for PlayStation 5 users, so it is quite a hefty download. However, there is no denying that this DLC offers heaps of new content which will easily inspire a brand-new playthrough of Sucker Punch's hit title. With the main title already asking for 85GB of storage, this will take Ghost of Yōtei up to over 100GB, so you may need to sacrifice some other games if you wish to dive back into this one.
