EXCLUSIVE: Fresh off playing Scott Hunter in hit series Heated Rivalry, here are your first look images of François Arnaud in upcoming movie Someone’s Daughter, which Canadian outfit Filmoption is launching for world sales at this week’s European Film Market in Berlin.

The survival thriller, written and directed by Wiebke von Carolsfeld and co-written with Doug Taylor, recently wrapped production.

Arnaud, also known for The Borgias, stars opposite Canadian actress Pascale Bussières, Michael Greyeyes and Peter Outerbridge.

The feature follows “Sam, a criminal defense lawyer in her 50s, who is kidnapped and abandoned on a remote island with Paul, a former client she successfully defended a decade earlier when he was accused of raping the kidnapper’s daughter. As the pair struggles to survive the brutal Canadian backcountry, an uneasy bond forms. However, Paul’s behaviour turns increasingly toxic, leading Sam to an impossible choice.”

Pic is produced by Frederic Bohbot and Kacim Steets Azouz, with Robert Vroom serving as executive producer.

Von Carolsfeld’s previous films include Marion Bridge, starring Molly Parker and Elliot Page; Stay, with Taylor Schilling, Aidan Quinn and Barry Keoghan; and The Saver, starring Imajyn Cardinal.
