Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne have come under fire after adding a new paid option for their popular podcast, Life Uncut.
The series now has a subscription-only tier, called Life Unlocked, which costs $6.99 per month and is available via the Patreon platform.
The pair made the announcement with a promotional video on their Instagram page this week that encouraged fans to 'join the inner circle'.
'Our new Patreon subscription is exactly that: more. For the Lifers who want a little extra Life Uncut in their lives,' the pair said in their announcement.
On offer are two bonus episodes every month, early access to merch and live show tickets, and behind-the-scenes footage.
Additionally, there is an Ask Uncut segment hosted by comedian Hamish Blake.

Those interested in signing up can save 20 per cent by choosing the annual subscription option.
Although four episodes a week will still be available for free, with the extras an optional add-on, the backlash was swift.
Dozens of fans shared their concerns about being asked to spend their hard-earned cash amid the cost of living crisis.
'Another pod putting up a paywall. Life is already too expensive,' complained one person in the Instagram comments section.
'This is a bit frustrating, I thought it was great you were one of the podcasts not doing a paywall,' said someone else.
One more fan complained: 'People are just fed up with being advertised and sold to at every turn and having to pay for literally everything.
With the comments section alight with complaints, Brittany's brother, Dane Hockley (pictured), came to her defence
'I seriously can't get over the amount of people whinging in here. You will happily pay $7 for a coffee daily, get ya lashes done every fortnight, have nights on drinking for $400, but won't pay a $6.99 monthly subscription. It's 23 cents a day,' he commented
'It's just ANOTHER thing people have to pay for if they want to enjoy the content fully.'
They continued: 'Sure, people can choose not to subscribe to the additional content but it's the fact that it's being framed as like it's doing us a favour... that I think is rubbing people up the wrong way.'
Someone else chimed in: 'Would love to know how they justify this to themselves as anything other than a money grab. Tacky and disappointing from women likely to be within the top 5 per cent wealth bracket.'

Several people were quick to reply to Dane's comment, which he later deleted.

'Maybe you missed the cost of fuel and increase in interest rates this week,' wrote one person.
Another replied: 'I have four kids, rent a house, work three jobs and drive a petrol V8 LandCruiser... If I want a coffee. I will buy one, I'm broke as f**k.'
Others were all too happy to fork out for more Life Uncut, with several people sharing that they were keen to sign up, or already had.
'It's literally the price of one coffee a month. People saying they're OG lifers and love the show yet don't value the time and effort these girls put into this,' one fan said.
'I hope you get rich, Britt and Laura, because you truly deserve it!' they added.
Another wrote: 'After years of listening every single week for free, I will happily subscribe to support a podcast I love so much!'
