Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson has revealed he's eloped and married his partner Sammie Johnstone in Nashville.

The actor, 29, who plays Vinny Dingle in the ITV soap, took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal the pair had married, almost three years after getting engaged.

Sitting on a swing bench in a new reel, the newlyweds opened an envelope to show off their marriage certificate to the camera, with the pair unable to hide their excitement.

Bride Sammie opted for a white minidress teamed with brown cowboy boots for her big day, while her new husband looked smart in a cream waistcoat and beige trousers teamed with a white shirt and tan coloured tie.

Despite his recent disappointment at having been axed from Emmerdale, Bradley didn't let that dampen his big moment, with the actor captioning his post: 'Eloped to Nashville. Married the love of my life.'

The delightful news was met with a plethora of congratulatory messages from Bradley's fans and fellow Emmerdale stars.

The soap star shared a sweet snap of him and Sammie in front of the Colosseum, with her sparkling engagement ring clearly visible.

The pair have been together since August 2021.

In August 2022, the couple celebrated their one year anniversary and Bradley shared a sweet post, he penned: '1 year with my soulmate!! How time flies. We have done so much together! Here is to many more!! Love you @sammiejojo92.'

The couple went on to welcome their son Albie Jake Johnson in November 2024.

The happy news comes after Bradley was axed from Emmerdale in May after seven years amid a cast 'bloodbath'.

Bradley joined the show in 2019 alongside Lisa Riley when she made her return as Mandy Dingle to play her adopted son, Vinny, but will now be reportedly written out of the show.

ITV has been hit by widespread cuts in recent months, as a result of several factors including changing viewer habits, which have resulted in a shift towards streaming services.

Lisa Riley was reportedly 'devastated' by the decision to axe her on-screen adopted son

A source told The Sun On Sunday: 'Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family.

'Everyone is shocked that bosses decided to axe him but it's all part of the ITV cuts and they still need to trim back the cast.

'They are making less episodes so don't need as many characters.'

Lisa, 50, was reportedly 'devastated' by the decision to axe Bradley.

The source added: 'She adores Bradley and they have such a close bond. It just shows that no-one is safe.'

It is not known how the character will be written out of the soap, but it has been reported that bosses are planning a dramatic storyline in the near future to get rid of even more members of the village.
