Since its launch back in 2022, Elden Ringhas gone on to make quite a name for itself, with many considering it to be FromSoftware's magnum opus. Since then, it has welcomed its first and only DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, as well as a roguelike spin-off in the form of Elden Ring Nightreignback in 2025.
Elden Ring Is Back This Spring

Set to launch this spring, Elden Ring Nightreign is a tabletop RPG from Group SNE which is best known for previously releasing TTRPGs set in the Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Armored Core 6 worlds. Spotted by Polygon back in January, details surrounding the board's campaign remain scarce, but with it set in the world of Nightreign, we can have a pretty good guess.
In Elden Ring Nightreign, players come together in groups of two or three to survive three nights across a reimagined version of Elden Ring's map. Beating small bosses, players will rack up levels, as well as get their hands on weapons and skills which will see them stand a chance against the main boss who they will confront on day three. A run is considered complete when the boss has been vanquished, so we can safely assume that the TTRPG will follow a similar structure.
With different classes to choose from, we can expect the players to be able to mix-and-match bosses, abilities, events, and more. Additionally, with each run of Elden Ring Nightreign being different, it is safe to assume that replayability will be a major selling point for its TTRPG equivalent.
A Brand-New Elden Ring TTRPG Experience Sounds Perfect
You can see the official announcement for the Elden Ring Nightreign TTRPG here, but be aware that it is in Japanese. As such, there is not much we can garner from its instruction page. Nevertheless, there is no denying that it looks cool, and we hope that it will receive an English translation one day soon, especially as the product is expected to launch this spring. However, with no confirmation that this board game will be released in the west, only time will tell to see if we will also be treated to the exciting addition to the Elden Ring universe.
In the meantime, if you are yet to check out Elden Ring Nightreign for yourself, we at Screen Rant scored it a whopping 9/10 in our review, calling it "a sandbox of joy and doom."
