Leaked videos showing the set of the Elden Ring movie have made their way online. The set looks faithful to the FromSoftware game the movie is based on, with some specific locations even fully recreated for the movie. Elden Ring fans seem quite happy with what they're seeing.
Currently, two specific videos of set footage are circulating. The first, which you can see on TikTok, shows what appears to be a faithfully recreated version of a Church of Marika. The state of the church suggests the film will be set sometime after The Shattering, which is exciting to learn as we don't know much about the plot or story yet.
The second video shows a different angle and highlights some carts and barrels that look like they were pulled straight out of Elden Ring and placed in the real world.
Generally, Elden Ring fans are liking the contents of these leaks, with people on TikTok showing surprise at how accurate everything looks. The sentiment is similar in Reddit posts about the leaks, too.
"That statue is straight out of the game, I love it," Reddit user TaitoMagatsuu wrote in response to that second leaked video. "Although I still have a hard time seeing an Elden Ring movie do the games [sic] story justice, I still am a staunch believer in that Garland is without a doubt the best director we could've got. Seeing tiny things, like having structures and statues being closely replicated to what they look like in game, makes me all the more hyped for this project."
The Elden Ring movie will be produced by A24, a film studio known for critically acclaimed films like Marty Supreme and Everything Everywhere All At Once. Alex Garland also has a great track record as the director of films like Annihilation and Civil War (which was produced by A24). With that pedigree behind the adaptation and these promising set leaks, fans are quite optimistic about Elden Ring's film adaptation right now.
At this time, the film still does not have a release date, or even an official announcement that it has entered production, yet.
