Daredevil: Born Again Star Endorsed As Next James Bond By Kingpin Actor

On X, user AlyxInWnderland posted the caption "hear me out" alongside side-by-side images of Bond and Arty Froushan, who plays Kingpin's right-hand man Buck in Daredevil: Born Again, with the two characters looking suave in their suits as they aim a gun with their right hand. D'Onofrio commented in response, "I agree." Many of the comments agree with the original post and D'Onofrio, while others pitch Henry Cavill, Theo James, and Nicholas Galitzine.

This is not the first time that Froushan's name has come up as the next Bond, with the possibility being brought up a year ago on Reddit as Daredevil: Born Again season 1 was being released. Even though Buck is a villain who has no qualms about being ruthless in the Marvel show, his suave personality and appearance, stoicism even in the face of danger, and his British accent and mannerisms have been mentioned by fans as making him a good fit to become 007.

Froushan's on-screen credits extend back to 2016, but it is only in more recent years that he has gained more recognition as Ser Qarl Correy in House of the Dragon season 1, Noël Coward in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, and as Buck in Daredevil: Born Again. He also played Jonathan Breakspear in Prime Video's Carnival Row season 1 and reprised the role in season 2. While Froushan is not as well known as someone like Cavill, James, or Galitzine, he may be too established at this point to be considered a fresh face for Villeneuve's Bond.

Outside the aforementioned individuals, other names that have been speculated for the casting of Amazon's James Bond era include Idris Elba, Jacob Elordi, Harris Dickinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Rege-Jean Page, Robert Pattinson, Fabien Frankel, Tom Holland, and Jack Lowden. Froushan is arguably more of a fresh face than any of these high-profile actors, which may work in his favor if Villeneuve and Amazon do end up seriously considering him for the role.

While deciding who will play 007 in the next James Bond movie would be daunting under any circumstances, Villeneuve's upcoming film and Amazon's other franchise project have the additional challenge of following Daniel Craig. From his debut in Casino Royale to his final performance in No Time to Die, Craig's portrayal was generally popular and helped carry the franchise for 15 years.

As audiences wait to see who Amazon's James Bond will be, they can watch the potential candidate of Froushan as Daredevil: Born Again season 2 continues and in the upcoming romantic comedy film The Love Hypothesis.
