Country star Kelsea Ballerini shows off abs as she enjoys bikini break for 33rd birthday

Kelsea Ballerini marked her September 12 birthday with a luxurious vacation. 

The 33-year-old country singer – who split from on-off beau Chase Stokes for a final time earlier this year – showed off her gym-honed abs in a bikini-clad photo as she posed on a boat in a celebratory Instagram post this week.

'Another trip around the sun ❤️,' the singer captioned a single photo shared with her 4.4 million followers.

She wore a red triangle top that teased her chest, adding a black cowboy hat, plus an olive green and red mini skirt.

Reese Witherspoon dropped in the comments to write, 'Happy Birthday lil sis!!'

And one fan noted that Ballerini's ex-boyfriend Stokes, 34, liked the post 'within 10 minutes!'

On Tuesday, the I Sit in Parks hitmaker shared even more snapshots with her fans as she uploaded a carousel Instagram post. 

'Summer crumbs ily,' the Tennessee native captioned the selection of pictures, which included one of her wearing a weighted vest on a treadmill.

There was also a photo of the star in a cream-colored halter neck swimsuit as she sported a blue snorkel and fins.

Another image showed the songstress cozied up in bed as she did skincare, using eye patches.

Ballerini and Stokes met in late 2022 and were romantically linked in January 2023 when they were seen together at the College Football Playoff National Championship in Los Angeles.

They had a three-year romance, separating briefly in September 2025 and later breaking up for good in February 2026. 

Before that, the singer-songwriter was wed to fellow country singer Morgan Evans.

She filed for divorce in August 2022 after nearly five years of marriage.

In May 2025, Ballerini opened up about divorce, talking to Elle magazine about fans who sometimes arrive at her shows with signs bearing the phrase, 'Just got a divorce.'

'I try to never celebrate it until I know if it’s a good thing. I don’t ever want to be a poster child for divorce,' she noted. 'It’s been three years now. It’s simply not in the forefront of my life anymore.'

She continued, 'But I always make sure when these women come up to me, my first reaction is never, "Oh my God, congratulations!" It’s like, "Are you OK?" Because just like it needs to be destigmatized, I also don’t think it should be celebrated or glamorized.'

The reflective music artist documented the fallout of her split from Evans on her 2023 album Rolling Up the Welcome Mat.
