Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer is already having a busy 2026.
Zimmer and his composer collective, Bleeding Fingers Music, will score All the Sinners Bleed, a new series adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s propulsive thriller novel of the same name. The news follows the announcement last month that Zimmer has been working on the score of the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series.
“All the Sinners Bleed lives in the tension between faith, violence and redemption, the kind of moral complexity where music speaks most powerfully,” shared Zimmer. “Joe Robert Cole and S.A. Cosby have created a world that is haunting, intimate and unflinchingly human. We’re proud to collaborate with Netflix, Higher Ground and Amblin on a series unafraid to sit with discomfort and truth, allowing the score to breathe in moments of silence as much as in moments of chaos.”
Added showrunner, writer, director and executive producer Cole, “Hans crafts unforgettable themes and immersive scores that root you emotionally in the world of a story. Our series explores the lighter and darker halves of who we are as people and which side wins within us. I’m incredibly excited to have Hans and the Bleeding Fingers Music composer collective interpreting this core contention through music.”
In All The Sinners Bleed, haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black Sheriff (played by Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù) in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer that has been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God.
The series, currently in production in Atlanta, also stars John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Daniel Ezra, Andrea Cortés, Murray Bartlett, and Leila George. Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, Donald Elise Watkins, Mackenzie Astin, Jordan M. Cox, Cullen Moss, Angus O’Brien, Cranston Johnson, Christopher Matthew Cook, Kelly Jenrette, Christopher Thornton, and Bill Oberst Jr. will recur, with Amy Madigan to guest star.
Zimmer has scored more than 500 projects across all mediums, which combined have grossed over $28 billion at the worldwide box office. A selection of his credits and career highlights are as follows: Dune: Part One and the upcoming Part Two, Top Gun: Maverick, No Time to Die, Gladiator, As Good as It Gets, Rain Man, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Thelma & Louise, The Last Samurai, 12 Years a Slave, Blade Runner 2049 (co-scored with Benjamin Wallfisch) and Dunkirk.
Bleeding Fingers Music is an Emmy Award-winning collective of diverse composers who create original film, television, and multimedia scores. Co-founded by Zimmer, Russell Emanuel and Steven Kofsky, Bleeding Fingers is “guided by the principle that collaboration is the catalyst for innovation—and extraordinary music results from empowering artists to be adventurous, experimental, and creatively generous.”
