Chelsea Handler SLAMS Joe Rogan's eye-popping $82million salary as she calls out his 'completely uninformed takes'

Chelsea Handler tore into Joe Rogan after it was revealed on Thursday that he's topped Forbes's list of the Highest-Paid Podcasters of 2026.

The 51-year-old comedienne did not hold back as she left a comment on the outlet's Instagram post, slamming 58-year-old Rogan's $82 million salary as host of The Joe Rogan Experience. 

'WHO IS PAYING JOE ROGAN 82 million?' she wrote, adding. 'Give that to our vets, or our children!!! 82 million to be completely uninformed and say ‘whoopsie doodle,’ every time he’s wrong, which is FREQUENT?'

More than 3,000 people have so far expressed agreement with Handler by giving her comment a 'like.'

Rogan, also a comedian and UFC broadcaster, is among the earliest podcast adopters, debuting his show in 2009. 

Handler, meanwhile, launched her Dear Chelsea podcast in April 2021.

One Instagram user agreed with Handler's comment left on the Forbes account, adding to the thread about Rogan: 'He’s one of those people who makes you scratch your head and say “how did he get there?”'

Another fan said, '@chelseahander for president! honestly no one on that list deserves all that while teachers can barely pay their bills!'

Rogan has long divided the public, criticized by many for broadcasting misinformation about COVID-19 and his past use of a slur.

January 2022 saw music artists Neil Young and Joni Mitchell remove their songs from Spotify, The Joe Rogan Experience's distributor, in protest of Rogan's pandemic conspiracies.

In February of the same year, he was forced to account for using the N-word after singer India Arie posted a five-minute montage of him uttering the racial epithet more than a dozen times.

The standup comic subsequently appeared in an Instagram video, issuing a groveling apology as he said: 'I know that to most people, there is no context where a white person is ever allowed to say that word, never mind publicly on a podcast.

'And I agree with that now. I haven't said it in years. But for a long time... instead of saying "the N-word," I would just say the word. I thought as long as it was in context, people would understand what I was doing.'

He continued, 'It's not my word to use. I never used it to be racist, because I'm not racist, but whenever you're in a situation where you have to say "I'm not racist," you've f***ed up, and I clearly have f***ed up.'

In early July it was announced that Handler is slated to launch a podcast network with iHeartMedia, kicking off a multiyear partnership, per The Hollywood Reporter.

'When I started Dear Chelsea, I wanted to give people access to me and build a place where people could come for honest advice, real conversation and a lot of laughter,' she said about the enterprise. 

The first podcast to be produced in the collaboration is You’re the Problem… with Yamaneika, hosted by Yamaneika Saunders.

Handler's statement continued, 'Building that community into a network feels incredibly meaningful, especially because I get to launch it with someone I know, love and believe in as much as Yamaneika. 

'She’s one of the funniest people I know and I can’t wait for people to make her part of their lives the way I have.'

The New Jersey native will soon resume her national The High and Mighty Tour, which extends through the end of the year.
