Celebrity Traitors star Michael Sheen has added fuel to the King Kenny and Maya Jama romance rumours.

The pair set tongues wagging during their time on the BBC show amid their close bond, with the rumour mill going into overdrive after the boxer was spotted sneaking out of the Love Island host's £1.5million London flat over the weekend.

And during his appearance on Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on Friday following the grand finale, the Welsh actor, 57, did little to dispel the reports as he noted that the pair 'spend far to much time together'.

In a clip aired during the spin-off show, which Michael was unable to attend due to rehearsals for his new play, the star was seen learning the identities of the Traitors for the first time.

Joining host Ed Gamble, Michael told how he believed Maya, 32, and Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 35, were the Traitors, he was soon left stunned upon the discovery that Kenny had been deceiving him all along.

As Ed pointed out he had very little suspicion on the YouTube star, 29, Michael replied: 'I said what if it's Kenny and Maya together, that would be... that's a killer blow.'

He then unveiled Maya as the final Traitor, remarking: 'Maya. Kenny and Maya, I said it!'

As Ed pointed out that it's a positive result as he already knew it was Maya, Michael fumed: 'Because... oh man!

Ranting that he was not taking it positively, he went on: 'I said Kenny and Maya, but oh that would be ridiculous. That would be way too obvious, they spend way too much time together!

'Why would Traitors do that? They do it, they do it Ed! They do it!'

Sighing, he then more calmly added: 'I mean yes, I got one of them. '

The Twilight star then gave a sinister parting message for the Traitors, saying: 'I'm still going to get you! This game is not over until I say it's over! I said I will push and push and push and that doesn't mean just in the game!'

Viewers of the finale of BBC’s hit show Celebrity Traitors were left aghast on Friday night. After seemingly growing close during the series, YouTuber King Kenny – real name Kenny Oghenovo Ojuederie – turned on his teammate Maya and banished her to protect himself.

But over the weekend, five months after the show was filmed, the pair appear to have buried any hatchet.

On Saturday morning Kenny was seen sneaking out of Maya’s £1.5million north London flat having watched the finale alongside the very woman he’d betrayed in front of 11.9million viewers.

In fact he stayed at the Love Island host’s home for a couple of nights – though sources say it was just on the sofa.

Maya’s team have yet to put any denial on the record, but sources close to her insist the pair are not dating but have been friends for years. This is, however, at odds with what is being seen as of late

On Saturday night, Maya threw a Halloween party in Shoreditch’s 83 Rivington Street and, surprise, surprise, Kenny was in attendance.

While Maya transformed herself into the Olympic gold medallist, Sir Mo Farah, complete with goatee, bald cap, running vest and shorts, Kenny arrived in a more toned-down orange jumpsuit for the party.

Indeed many believe it was inevitable that they would get together.

When a cloaked Maya Jama chose Kenny as the third Traitor to stand alongside her and comedian James Acaster on the hit BBC series, the show’s producers were no doubt delighted.

Maya was newly single, and Kenny was funny, popular and handsome – all the attributes to mend a girl’s broken heart.

So when, on Maya’s request, the newly recruited Kenny was pulled into the turret in Scotland’s Ardross Castle – where the Traitors were filmed plotting their murders – Maya could barely hide her excitement that she would be spending more time with him.

‘We’d all recruit the eye candy,’ a source close to the show said. ‘And it worked. They were spending a lot of alone time together night after night up in the turret, on and off camera, particularly after James [Acaster] left. It’s no surprise their feelings grew for one another, particularly in such an intense environment as Traitors.’

Their attempts to keep not only their identities as Traitors a secret, but also the depth of their attachment to one another meant they were also caught out by their celebrity castmates.

While driving to a mission with Romesh Ranganathan, 48, and Sebastian ‘Bash’ Croft, 24, the series’ eventual winners, Kenny raised the prospect of Maya deceiving him.

Posing as a Faithful, he said: ‘If Maya is a Traitor, I will never look at her the same way.’

Romesh immediately replied: ‘Well, first of all, I don’t believe that for a second,’ which sent all three men into fits of laughter.

Kenny did little to dispel the speculation of his feelings towards Maya later in the episode when the contestants were asked to work in pairs during the ‘field of screams’ mission.

After Maya chose him as her partner, he replied: ‘My lovely darling.’

The exchanges have fuelled speculation among fans, who have been making online edits of moments between the pair, including lingering glances, playful touches and their frequent embraces inside the castle.

Neither Maya nor Kenny has suggested that their relationship extends beyond friendship.
