Brooks Nader Shares Her Biggest ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Advice to Sister Sarah Jane Nader

Brooks Nader wants to make sure her sister Sarah Jane Nader keeps her eye on the Mirrorball.

After Sarah Jane shared that her sister warned her not to get distracted while competing on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, Brooks—who dated her dance partner Gleb Savchenko on season 33—offered more advice for her younger sister, emphasizing that she does not want Sarah Jane following her example.

“I said, ‘Lock in, girl. Don’t even think about it,’” Brooks exclusively shared on Live From E! Stream: Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2027 Runway Show alongside her sister Mary Holland Nader. “Do as I say, not as I do. Do not do what I did.”

“I had my partner over every day. I was so distracted,” she continued. “I said, ‘Just do the opposite of what I did.’ And she was like, ‘Noted.’”

And while the Love Thy Nader star—who finished in 9th place during her stint in 2024—and her siblings are competitive, she hopes that Sarah Jane and her partner Hailey Bills make it as far as she did.

“If she doesn't go further than me, I'll never let her forget that, ever,” Brooks joked at the New York Fashion Week event Sept. 10. “And if she does go further, I'll be applauding every step of the way.”

“I'm going to be gone for her middle dances,” she added. “So, I was like, ‘You better make it past October 15th because I'm out of town.’ So, there's some motivation.”

And while season 35 of DWTS doesn’t kick off until Sept. 15, Sarah Jane is already making moves in the ballroom. After all, the 24-year-old’s pairing with Hailey—a new pro this season—marks the ABC reality competition series' second same-sex duo since 2022, and its third overall in its 21-year history.

“I'm so proud of both of them,” Brooks shared of the historic pairing. “Hailey is such a talented dancer, and for this to be her first season is so special. To make history is always the coolest thing ever.”

“They're working extremely hard. I have to hand it to them. There's no time for chitter-chatter, and I'm so proud,” she continued. “So, we'll see what happens on the dance floor. I can’t wait!”

And the entire Nader crew—which also includes Grace Ann Nader, 26—will be on hand to cheer Sarah Jane on.

“The whole family will be at the first dance, so we will be supporting,” Mary Holland noted, “as we always are.”

But Sarah Jane is looking forward to embarking on a journey outside of her family, who give an inside look at their personal lives on their Freeform reality show Love Thy Nader.

“I’m excited and scared in a way to be separated from my sisters during this and doing something so on my own,” she exclusively told E! News at the DWTS cast announcement on Sept. 2. “I’m excited for people to see who I am as an individual and not just as a sister and yeah, just challenge myself.”

"I have a vision board and I redo it every year," she told E! News in May. "This year is the first year that I stayed at home by myself on New Year's Eve. I did not go out at all. I made myself a bowl of pasta and a glass of red wine and I redid my vision board for the year. Dancing With the Stars was already on it from the year before. However, I added five more Dancing With the Stars on the board."
