Dancing With the Stars' Surprise Elimination Twist Revealed Ahead of Season 35 Premiere

Brooks Nader isn’t cha cha-ing around how she feels about her sister Sarah Jane Nader’s elimination on Dancing With the Stars.

After Sarah Jane and her pro partner Hailey Bills were sent home on night two of the show’s premiere Sept. 16, Brooks bluntly expressed that she wasn’t happy about her younger sister being voted off.

The model—who competed on DWTS with partner and now-ex Gleb Savchenko on season 33commented on E! News’ Sept. 17 Instagram post about Sarah Jane’s elimination, writing, “Robbed.”

Yet, Sarah Jane has a more positive outlook about it all, especially knowing that her and Hailey’s same-sex partnership was a historic one.

“As sad as we are to not dance next week—we were so excited—we're just grateful we had this opportunity,” the 24-year-old told Good Morning America in an interview after the premiere. “Our partnership was so special. Not only because we became best friends, but because we represent a whole community.”

“Being the second ever all-female pairing on the dance floor is such an honor,” she continued. “I hope somebody watching at home felt touched or seen or represented tonight, and so I hope we've something impactful. Even though we don't get to do it more, it felt really good and it was a really fun experience.”

But Sarah Jane’s sisters didn’t let her short stint on Dancing With the Stars go unnoticed.

After all, Brooks, Mary Holland Nader, 27, and Grace Ann Nader, 26, hilariously trolled the youngest Nader after she was eliminated.

Indeed, alongside a funny photo of Mary Holland and Grace Ann in a trailer on her Instagram Stories, Brooks wrote, “We will never let her forget this s--t, it's sooo funny.”

The trio also made some last-minute tweaks to the post-premiere celebration for Sarah Jane, altering their matching T-shirts that read: “Vote For Sarah Jane” by crossing out the first two words with a marker.

“In times of need,” Brooks joked in a TikTok posted to Mary Holland’s profile, “we pivot!”

And the Love Thy Nader stars made yet another pivot at dinner, revealing they changed their custom menu at Craig’s restaurant in Los Angeles. The menu read, “Sarah Jane and Hailey’s First Dance,” before one of the sisters took a lipliner to cross out “first” and write “last.”

Over the footage, which was also shared on Mary Holland’s TikTok, she joked, “celebratory dinner after a long hard season.”

However, I added five more Dancing With the Stars on the board."
