Blue Peter has announced adventurer Leo Olsson as the show's 45th presenter as the iconic show celebrates a successful year since its relaunch.
The filmmaker and content creator, 23, boasts an impressive 13 million likes and 450,000 followers on TikTok and is best known for documenting his ambitious personal challenges through his hugely popular 'world's longest bucket list' project.
From learning to play the piano and building a surfboard from scratch to taking on extraordinary experiences around the world, his films encourage audiences to discover what they are capable of achieving.
And Leo will make quite the entrance in his first episode on Friday November 20 and will earn his Blue Peter badge during a formation skydive, 4,000ft in the air.
Speaking about joining the world's longest running children's TV show, he said: 'There’s no other show in the world like Blue Peter, it’s all about adventure and not being afraid to try new things.
'Where else would you find a presenter trying to cross the Irish Sea in a Zorb ball, or walk a tightrope between the chimneys of Battersea Power Station?'

He continued: 'Growing up all of my role models were the people I watched online and on television, so now I want to show kids that you can go out and do whatever you want to do, take on a challenge, big or small!
'It's a privilege to join a programme with such an incredible legacy, and I can't wait to meet the audience, take on new challenges, and go on some unforgettable adventures together.'
The BBC's Senior Head of Children’s Commissioning Sarah Muller added: 'Leo is a natural storyteller whose creativity, positivity and sense of adventure make him a perfect fit for Blue Peter.
'His determination, passion for adventure and inspiring others reflects everything the programme stands for, and we're excited to welcome him to the team.'
Leo joins Blue Peter as the fan-favourite celebrates a successful first year following its relaunch and move to a new studio in Manchester in September 2025.
The new era returned with young stars Joel Mawhinney, Shini Muthukrishnan and Abby Cook, who themselves have large presences on TikTok, fronting the show.
Joel, who joined the show in 2022, had built up a large social media following by showing off his magic skills, while Abby joined the show in 2023 after working with Forth Valley Disability Sport.
Shini, who built up a following on TikTok showcasing her British and Indian heritage during the Covid lockdown, became Blue Peter's newest presenter in January 2024.
However back in February this year it was revealed that Joel had quit the show after four years.

An insider told the Mail On Sunday: ‘Joel has done his time on Blue Peter and felt the time was right to explore other opportunities.
'Bosses were gutted by his decision but understood his reasons for wanting to leave.
‘They are now just hoping that they can hang onto Shini. Joel and Shini are such a great partnership both on and off screen. Joel will film his final show in the coming months.’
Joel and Shini also began dating during their time on the show, with Joel revealing this summer that the pair hope to get married.
