Billie Eilish's style profile is full of unconventionally baggy looks for a pop star and now she has finally candidly revealed why she dresses the way that she does.
The 24-year-old ten-time Grammy Award winner - who was serenaded by her idol Justin Bieber at Coachella recently - was featured in the cover story for Elle magazine's May issue.
In the accompanying photoshoot, the music superstar donned some of her signature oversized looks as she talked honestly about why she styles herself the way that she does which the publication describes as 'gender euphoria.'
Eilish explained: 'I had a really, really toxic relationship with my body. I had a lot of eating issues. I remember putting on, like, a big shirt and the relief that I felt.'
She cited some of her fashion influences as Harlem fashion influencer Bloody Osiris and hip-hop stars Missy Elliott and Tyler, The Creator as she talked about how her style is a bit of a gender expression for her but didn't exactly have the best personal feelings about it when it came to her femininity.
The LUNCH hitmaker said: 'At the same time, it was my love for hip-hop culture and wanting to be a man.

The 24-year-old ten-time Grammy Award winner is seen not wearing baggy clothes on a rare occassion in December
'This is the misogyny that we all have within us…which is that I didn’t want to be seen as feminine, and therefore weak. It’s not right. I’ve found a good way of not feeling like that.'
Meanwhile, Eilish is also sounding off on the rumors that she is feuding with her brother and music collaborator Finneas.
The two siblings have been nearly inseparable throughout Eilish's career as they often hit the red carpet together, but many fans speculated that they had a falling out when the Birds of a Feather hitmaker recently went on tour solo.
Eilish - born Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell - did not take too kindly to the rumors that she and her 28-year-old brother - born Finneas Baird O'Connell - were feuding as she gave quite the fiery profane response.
She said: 'Finneas and I have never and will never have a falling-out, ever in our lives. We’ll get in the biggest f***ing fight you’ve ever heard of in your life…and five minutes later, we’re back, laughing and making music.
'It’s sibling s***. There’s nothing else in the world like sibling relationships.'
Eilish went on to say that Finneas has been instrumental when comes to her musical career as they have worked together her entire career.
She said: 'If I never saw Finneas at all, I might literally never make a song again...

Eilish also blasted rumors of a rumored riff between she and brother Finneas (as the two are seen together at the Grammy Awads in LA back in February)
'But how do we move on and have separate lives?'
As for why Finneas was absent from her last tour, she explained that he has to focus on his solo career.
Eilish explained: 'It was a few years in the making. We got so busy that we would only see each other right before going onstage
'Finneas and Andrew [Eilish’s touring drummer], who were the only band members I had back in the day, performed on some sort of platform that was hard to leave. Finneas was stuck in a tower—like Rapunzel! He never said it, but I was feeling like, ‘You have more to be doing than being my band member in the back.'
