Big Brother's Rochelle sparks further fury for urging Millie to 'put her mind to losing weight' - after ableist comments about 'fearing' amputees

Big Brother star Rochelle Rackham has sparked fury after making comments about fellow housemate Millie Jarrett's weight battles. 

On Thursday's episode of the show, which kicked off on Monday, the 57-year-old housewife speaks to Millie, 19, about undergoing a gastric band or using weight loss jabs in her bid to slim down – leaving Millie furious. 

After Millie suggested surgery, Rochelle said: 'You can't just have it and think 'Oh, I'm going to carry on eating shit' because it doesn't work like that', before asking: 'Do you want to lose weight? Why don't you do injections?'

Rochelle said: 'I'm telling you, if you put your mind to it,' and after Millie said she had put her mind to it Rochelle replied: 'You're saying you have but I see what you eat.'

Storming into the garden, Millie said to fellow housemate Harry Symonds: 'What a f***ing b***h. I hope she goes on Friday.' 

Her latest comments come after Rochelle caused shockwaves the previous evening when she said she was 'scared of people with no limbs'. 

Speaking to quadruple amputee Charlotte Nottinghamshire, 18, who lost her limbs after contracting meningitis at three, Rochelle said: 'Can I tell you something? I feel really ashamed. I have got a bit of a fear... 

'Just like, no arm. When I saw you, I was like, 'Oh my god', and I feel so ashamed because now I don't even look at it [now].'

Social media was soon flooded with reaction from viewers, with anger over her 'disgusting and outrageous' comments, having seen Charlotte discuss the exchange with fellow housemate Lynx Noumey, 24. 

Taking to X, one viewer wrote: 'That was disgusting what Rochelle said about Charlotte, just because she has a disability doesn't mean she is different from anyone else!! She is really mean. Praise to Rihanna for what she said.'

Echoing the message, other viewers penned: 'Exactly it just shows some people still don't know about disabilities and when they need to keep quiet or ask in a respectful way... She did the same when they were discussing mental health...

'She said why are we talking about it. But cried because she had no hoover to clean the floor. Pathetic... Rochelle needs to learn to zip it. Rhianna is unsure whether Rochelle's honesty with Charlotte was appropriate. #BBUK

'Rochelle is a dreadful human being but a fantastic Big Brother housemate.. Can you shut up Rochelle... Rochelle should've kept that to herself, especially when it's someone you've know for 2 days...

'If I walked in and saw someone with no limbs, I'd be very taken aback (just bc I wouldn't be expecting it)'... Imagine a lady in her 60's (that botox isn't fooling anybody) and saying that to an 18yr kid who went through such a horrific situation'.

Following Rochelle's confession, Charlotte relayed the conversation to fellow housemates, saying: 'She was like 'I've always had a fear of people with no limbs'. And she was like 'when I saw you like, I was very, I was scared'.'

Lynx replied: 'What the fk is that?' before Charlotte continued: 'She was like 'when I came in I was quite scared.'' before Lynx said: 'Oh Rochelle.' 

Chelsey then said: 'I think she needs to learn to shut her mouth, a bit.'

Keen to resolve the scenario, Rhianna then said: 'Yeah. Now I think it's just a bit much. I think it's best if I say something' and went on to confront Rochelle.
