Kevin Kreider and Devon Diep, the stars of Bling Empire, have called it quits after their longtime, on-and-off relationship.

The couple, who have been romantically linked for approximately 15 years, had just gotten engaged five months earlier before they called it quits.

Kreider, 42, and Diep announced their separation in a joint statement obtained by People on Thursday.

The pair said it was 'not an easy decision,' but they ultimately decided to 'move forward on separate paths' and maintain a relationship as just friends.

The statement, which appeared to be penned by Kreider, read: 'After much thought and reflection, Devon and I have decided to end our engagement and move forward on separate paths.

'This was not an easy decision. We care deeply for one another and will always support each other. We are grateful for the time we shared, but at this point in our lives we believe we are better suited as friends.'

The statement concluded: 'We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter.'

Kreider previously popped the question to Diep during a romantic couple's trip in Rome in late September last year.

At the time, the couple announced their engagement in a since-deleted, joint Instagram post of them enjoying their Italian getaway.

In the caption of the post, Kreider wrote a lengthy, sweet message about their 'commitment towards each other' and how their relationship has only grown 'stronger because of the tests and trials.'

'The most powerful question is "Will you marry me?" 3.7 years after our second chance at love, we realize it's not just about love, it's about commitment towards each other and choosing to say yes, even when the highs aren't as high, and we have no idea how low the lows can be,' Kreider wrote.

'But when we hit rock bottom, we grew closer to each other and closer to our faith,' he continued.

'We rose out of the chaos and noise, distractions that were pulling us apart to a unity that is stronger because of the tests and trials.'

He added: 'We're happy to announce that we are officially engaged and we did it in style and it was beyond our wildest dreams.

'I can't wait to marry you,' he concluded alongside a red heart emoji.

The pair were previously linked over a decade ago and had called it quits.

While Kreider was one of the main cast members of Netflix's hit series Bling Empire, he confessed he still had feelings for his ex-girlfriend from years earlier.

After learning about this, Kreider's co-star Christine Chiu decided to play cupid and initiated their reconciliation.

Diep later joined the show after the exes reunited and started dating again, with their romance playing out as one of the storylines on the show.

Bling Empire is a reality series following the opulent lives of wealthy Asian American socialites in Los Angeles.

Bling Empire ran for three seasons before Netflix decided against renewing for a fourth season

The hit show has been airing for three seasons, debuting in 2021, but Netflix later decided not to go forward with a fourth season.

The streaming service made the announcement in April 2023 and also canceled the spinoff series, Bling Empire: New York after just one season.

This comes after Kreider shed light on how he was paid less than a UPS employee despite the grueling filming schedule for the reality show in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.

He also lamented about not being able to purchase a property and having to choose between renting a 'nicer one-bedroom [apartment] and not have a car' or 'downgrading' to a 'studio.'
