Stephen Amell leads the cast of Fox's new Baywatch reboot as Captain Hobie Buchannon and treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look on Saturday.

Amell, 44, posted a photo that he took with members of the production including co-stars Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Noah Beck and Thaddeus LaGrone.

They had gathered on the beach for a friendly meet-up before the cameras start rolling next week.

'Every big story starts with the people you don't see on screen. Proud to be in the trenches with this crew. Tomas and the whole team are the real deal. We start filming Monday,' Amell wrote in the caption.

Beck responded in the comments, 'o captain! my captain!'

Belkin wrote, 'let's go hobie!' while cast member Livvy Dunne, who previously sent pulses racing by showing off her Baywatch preparations, replied, 'Stoked!!!!' along with a heart emoji.

Brooks Nader, who has been cast as rival lifeguard leader Selene, chimed in, 'LFG!'

Hassie Harrison also stars in the reboot as a former foster child turned Olympic athlete who serves as Hobie's right-hand lifeguard.

Baywatch is a revival of the original Baywatch television series that starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.

The new version promises to blend nostalgia with high-stakes, modern rescues and is scheduled to air during the 2026–2027 broadcast season.

Production is taking place between Venice Beach and the Fox studio lot in Century City, and the production has received a $21.1 million tax credit from the state of California.

Nader, 29, caused a sensation earlier in the week when it was revealed she was joining the show. The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue cover girl is also known for her stints in reality TV including Dancing with the Stars and her family's Hulu show Love Thy Nader.

According to the character description released for the series, Selene is introduced as the leader of the Zuma beach lifeguards.

The description states: 'While she is excellent at her job, she and Baywatch Captain Hobie Buchannon have a very different approach to saving lives that is a constant source of friction.'

The actor gave a special shout out to the crew, calling them 'the real deal'

The original Baywatch series ran 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001 and featured David Hasselhoff in the pivotal role of Mitch Buchanan and, L to R, Jason Simmons, Gena Lee Nolin, David Chokachi, Alexandra Paul, Pamela Anderson and Yasmine Bleeth as his life-saving team

The original stand-out stars were Anderson, Paul and Nicole Eggert

Former artistic gymnast Livvy Dunne is also on board the revival playing junior lifeguard Grace

It continues: 'Never on good terms, their relationship only goes downhill after Hobie brings his daughter Charlie onto his team… and it becomes clear that their rivalry goes much deeper than lifeguarding.'

In the original series, Jeremy Jackson played young Hobie Buchannon, son of Mitch Buchanan, who was famously portrayed by Hasselhoff. In the reboot, Hobie has grown up and become a captain himself.

The storyline follows Hobie years after the events of the original show, with his life changing when his daughter Charlie – played by Belkin – arrives unexpectedly and asks to continue the Buchannon family legacy of lifeguarding.

The reboot will also feature David Chokachi, who returns from the original series as Cody Madison.

According to the official cast description, 'Heartthrob Cody Madison now runs The Shoreline, the unofficially official Baywatch bar-and-grill, and still puts on the red trunks for the occasional shift saving lives. He's a mentor and a friend, providing a second home for his fellow lifeguards — and always offering free wings after a big save.'
