Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet no longer have to be mysteries. These freebies are often given out to players to get helpful items and new Pokémon, and they can be used by anyone, whether you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership or not. This is a great way to fill out your roster and get Pokémon you may not be able to in this game otherwise.
The characters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are growing, and so is the roster of Pokémon you can get. Things like Roy’s Fuecoco are available only through these Mystery Gifts. Additionally, with more events like the World Championships on the way, the number of Mystery Gifts will only grow, so you will want to check back in to see if more have been added.

New Pokémon & Helpful Items
As of February 2025, you can redeem 6 Mystery Gift codes for multiple reward items in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Unfortunately, this is because most previously available codes in the game expired at the start of the year. With a few exceptions, most of the in-game codes expire on set dates, giving you a timeframe in which you'll be able to claim the item. While it is unfortunate to miss some, new codes are constantly being added, so there's always something new to grab.

The final code is downloaded online via the Internet, but only once you have the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Look online for this reward, as the Mythical Pecha Berry could be used to help win a challenging battle within the game's content expansion.
Previously, unique Mystery Gift codes could be obtained for pre-ordering Pokémon Scarlet & Violet or purchasing the game within the first few months of its release. However, those codes have all expired and are no longer applicable to new purchases.
If you are lucky enough to attend the World Championships this year, you will likely receive a few different mystery gifts. However, Pokémon World Championship gift codes are being distributed in person and thus only obtainable by those present for the event. They cannot be obtained otherwise.

Furthermore, if you complete all three of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Pokédex's or have already completed them, you can log in to the mobile version of Pokémon HOME to unlock and receive a Shiny Meloetta via Mystery Gift. The three Pokédexs to complete for this reward include the base game and the two DLC Pokédexs.

Work On Building Up Your Team & Completing The Pokédex
Unfortunately, for long-term players, none of the codes for February are all that exciting since they primarily consist of things that would aid those still working on their team or filling out their Pokédex. That being said, if you are a newer player, the quick balls should aid in catching more Pokémon, while the Pawmot can give you a great starting Pokémon.

Go To The Poké Portal
You must unlock at least one Pokémon Center in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet before claiming Mystery Gift codes. Depending on how long you agonize over which starter you should choose, this should not take more than an hour or so of gameplay. Then, you can head over to your menu.

Shiny Meloetta Is Still Available For Pokédex Completionists
When it comes to February events, while there is nothing quite as exciting as the Shiny Rayquaza event that took place in early January, there are a handful of things to look forward to. Firstly, from February 6 to 9, there will be mass outbreaks of flying Pokémon all over Paldea, including Fletchling, Starly, and Pikipek. More importantly, however, there will be a Milcery Tera Raid Battle event for Valentine's Day from February 13, 2025, at 4 pm PST, to February 16, 2025, at 3:59 PST.
Finally, for those working their way through the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Pokédex or have already completed it, you can link up your account with Pokémon Home and receive a Shiny Meloetta for all your hard work. To do so, you will need to have Pokémon HOME downloaded onto the Switch, which will then enable you to transfer Pokémon between it and Scarlet & Violet. Once you've done that, you will need to transfer one of every Pokémon in the Pokédex for Scarlet & Violet to Pokémon HOME to register it.
